Again, Scott didn't do anything until after Kessel attempted to grab him. And then after he poked the bear, he ran away and took cheap shots.

"He was being scary" is not an excuse for intent to injure. There is NO excuse for two-handing someone with a hockey stick. Kessel should have gotten a double digit regular season suspension. It was a disgusting play.

The only thing you could fault Kessel for is the final couple of slashes, after Scott had already been restrained.

The initial slashes, no...you try being seven inches and seventy pounds smaller than someone who's chasing you and talking ****, and tell me you wouldn't do what Kessel did.

All I know is Kessel likes to slash players, and he'll continue to do it. Just waiting for the moment a player gets their leg broken because of his punk ass ****. Hopefully, it's not one of the Devils.

Schneider is very good, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. He has to achieve a lot more than he has to this point in his career to earn the "Future Hall of Famer" label that Marty's been carrying around for the past decade.

Elias - Zajac - Brunner
Clowe - Henrique - Ryder
Zubrus- Josefeson - Jagr
Olesz -Carter - Bernier

I like these lines, but I would make one minor change. I'd switch Brunner and Ryder. Brunner has had excellent chemistry with Clowe and I think he would do well with Henrique too.

Also I just want to have the EZ Ryder line because that would be awesome, but I think it makes sense as a line too.

Based on time on ice stats over the pre season games he has played...it's safe to say we'll finally see a full season of Larsson on the top pairing? Sweet.

I hope so. I think the kid is primed to break out soon. It's time for Larsson to really put his stamp on the defensive corps and establish himself as the clear #1. In the next two years, I expect he will.
