Craig had no reason to attempt the sweeping poke check.

You guys here that. Bruins AHL affiliate blew a 3 games to 0 series lead and lost the series to Wilkes Barre.
Boston should take notice and give 100% tomorrow night to close the series.

Uh Boston already choked in the same exact fashion against the Flyers in 2010. They learned their lesson long ago.

Islanders are the real deal. After that series, Brooks Orprik was very complimentary of them. That's why people underestimated the penguins after that series.
I don't know why you're so high on the Islanders. If not for the dead flower they might even get swept. They definitely lose in 5 if not for him. He's the reason they hung around for so long by giving up some ridiculous goals. Let's see them make the playoffs in an 82 game season first. I'm convinced they wouldn't if we had 82 games this year.
WB just rolled off 4 straight wins.
It's not out of the question.
An AHL team. I know you're hoping for it, and I can't wait to see your response if the Rangers do wind up winning tomorrow night.

Islanders were dominating Pitt 5 on 5 for long stretches in the series. That's say alot how far they have come. Not to mention they lost two OT games they could have easily won with a little luck.

You also said Quick was unbeatable too. That's working out really good.

I'm not buying the Islanders after one playoff birth after 48 games. Come back to me after they make the playoffs in an 82 game season. They were fluttering late in the regular season too.

Their defense was exposed too in the playoffs.

Yea if they shore up a few areas (get a veteran top 6 forward, another top 4 d-man and maybe a better goalie) there gonna be legit for a long time. They might actually be in better shape long term wise than us and the Rangers which kind of pisses me off but its the truth.

If it's an 82 game season then they miss the playoffs I believe. I strongly believe they do. And then either one of us or the Flyers get that spot, though the Leafs could have fallen out also possibly.

There's usually one team in each conference who's in the playoffs after 48 games that winds up missing. Last year the Leafs were in, and the Caps were out in the East at the 48 game mark. The Coyotes were in 11th place in the West after 48 last year, and wound up winning their division. I think it was Dallas that dropped out.

If they get Bernier I'll be sweating. Nabokov provided pretty damn good goaltending in the regular season for how awful their defense was though.

This is borderline insanity with you and this comeback crap.

Serious question. Do you legitimately get paranoid about lots of things? Cause if you don't then I still maintain you want a Rangers win.

Oh the sweet irony here Mr BleedRed. ;)

I do see paranoia from some here that actually think I am not only rooting for the hated Rags this series but also that I am a Rags fans in disguise.

You think anyone would really stoop to that level of fugazzi here on HFBoards? :naughty:

They have some real solid pieces on their bottom 6. Cizikas, Grabner, & Matt Martin. I think they can replace Boyes with Strome and Neiderreiter will probably slide in somewhere in the top 9. Obviously, they need another d man.

I was paranoid that the Devils were gonna choke away a playoff spot after a really poor stretch in 11-12 late in the season.

You're paranoid that a team down 3 games to 0 is gonna come back though?:dunno: And it's not even so much paranoia. Though you keep suggesting that the Rangers have some incredible comeback up their sleeve.

The Eyelanders have a lot of promising prospects on the cusp of making it to the bigs.
They have potential to be good for a while if Snow plays his cards right.

I'm not drinking the Islanders kool aid.

Get Bernier or a goalie like that, and make the playoffs in 82. Then I'll be believing.

At this point it's highly unlikely that the Rags will take more than 2 games tops in this series, if any at all.

But/However, it is not out of the realm that a team can climb out of a 3 game hole anymore. Boston 2010 and Providence 2013 (both Bruins) lost 4 straight and a few other teams dropped 3 straight and were forced to win nailbiting Game 7s.

Based on my history here on HFboards, it should be clearer than a see-through bikini that I want to see the Rags skate off the slushy MSG ice tomorrow night with their heads down full of shame, remorse and disgust.

It doesn't matter what kind of style they play. As long as the defense plays somewhat decent, they get decent but not great goaltending and there offense shows up like this then there almost unstoppable. There like a football team that puts up 30-40 pts. a game (Patriots, Packers) and only needs there defense to be respectable and create a few turnovers.

You CAN NOT win a Cup with the level of D they are playing or with the level of goaltending they are getting. Their offense is not that good. They've just had the good fortune of playing two teams that probably don't even make the playoffs had there been a full season. If Boston sweeps the Rags and gets some rest before Pit, we'll see how bad Pits D really is and how their offense can't overcome it. And I don't think you can compare this to football. If Bostons offense is pinning in Pits D, then Pit isn't playing on offense. It's not like football which is possession based.

Well that's my opinion anyway.

Gonchar was on the ice for 4 of the goals tonight, and had a big part in almost all of them. He looked really bad on that shorty too.

Come on Bruins. That power play looked like the crap the Rangers have been cooking up this series.
