I want the Rags out in 4 games, in a perfrct world.
In this order the other teams I would like to see eliminated.

Isles
Wild
Pens
Kings
Bruins
Leafs
Habs
Caps
Sens
Ducks
Canucks
Blues

don't care about the rest

damn! Forgot about the Wild. Add those to my previous list, too. Friggin' Pari$e and his wife Suter.

As do I, but just for this playoffs I'll soften a bit for Boston. Would be a nice story. Just not Pitt. Really just let a West team that isn't the Canucks or the Wild win it...maybe not the Kings either.

Had such a long argument with a Rags fan on facebook. This fool is CONVINCED they are winning the cup. The delusional outlook is insane. Keep trying to say putting 6 up on the Panthers doesn't make you a cup contender, nor does putting 8 up on the Slugs. They are not coming out of the East at all.

You no like Canucks Eddy? Oh well I guess it's just me, and Staley from over here.

I like the Canucks, and I absolutely love Cory Schneider. I am pulling for the Sharks too because of my friend who works for them, and has for years. This could be a potential first round matchup too if the Sharks slip a little bit, and the Blues wind up hopping over them. They're only a point behind right now.

Not sure about who will come out of the East, but I hope it's the Capitals. The Rangers could, but I'm not convinced. Pittsburgh could, but that I'm not convinced. I don't believe this hype about the Isles being a sleeper team like we were last year either. One things for sure, Lundqvist is far superior to either of the scabs that Pittsburgh will throw in net. Chokoun is a joke, and MAF is a dead flower. He's been **** the last 2 years, maybe even 3 in the playoffs.

I have seen NOTHING to believe the Rags could get out of the East. I honestly don't see them getting past Pitt unless they are still seriously hurt. Boston and Washington would knock the Rags out rather easily right now. Leafs are garbage too. Going no where. Ottawa doesn't have enough. Habs I can't figure out.

Ya I don't like the Nucks. Easily one of my most hated West teams. I wish the Preds made it, I'd definitely be rooting for them. I like the Blues though.

The East is really down this season, I could see the Rags beating most teams if they get a few bounces.
Sather made outstanding moves this season and has given the team a legitimate shot to win.
It's a well-balanced roster that can score too, plus they don't have to go through the Devils this time around. :)

Zuccerello, Brassard, Clowe were huge additions, especially Zuccerello.

All Sather did was rebuild something a little less to what he had last year, just swap Nash for Gaborik. I am not giving him credit for a Nash trade that sent half his depth to Columbus, let the rest walk, and then half way through the season realize he ****ed up going with such a thin top heavy team.

They are still EXTREMELY mediocre at best. Beating up the Slugs and Panthers mean nothing.

Look at their record since the Gaborik trade, including a 6-1 win over Pittsburgh.

If i'm the Pens, I'm praying Peg gets in instead of the Rags.

Ya but their schedule was soft. Remember how we all thought we were screwed before the deadline because we had a really hard schedule left and there's was soft? They beat Pitt who was missing Letang, Martin, and Crosby. Come on now. Overall they are getting fat on the bottom feeders. Good for them I guess because we had our chance to do that and didn't...doesn't change they are a borderline bubble team

The Pens usually dominate the Rangers, my goodness one game when Crosby, Letang, and Martin were all on the mend and suddenly the Rangers are going to smack around the Pens. Not buying it. If it happens the series will be close, but the penguins are a better team in every facet of the game besides goaltending. And the way I see it is Lundqvist is going to have to be stellar like he was against Washington in 09. And even then the Rangers lost because they couldn't overcome the Caps in the end. The Penguins are better than they were last season in terms of their defense. Martin has looked very good, and I despise Martin, but I am willing to give him credit. And people forget Fleury did win a Stanley Cup. He can be a hot and cold goalie, why can't he get hot? He knows what it takes to win.

The Pens probably won't even play the Rangers, the Sens have a much more difficult schedule and will probably drop. The Rangers have a better shot at beating the Bruins than the Penguins.

Edit: going into last season, everyone knew the flyers were a terrible match up for the penguins. the last game of the season between the 2 teams showed just how much the penguins were lost against the flyers mentally.

I would like the Rags and Pens to play a tough series and go through hell so someone picks the winner apart.

Pens should win that series cleanly but it might not be too easy if the Rags can get timely scoring. I'm afraid their style is going to leave them with a whole lot against the fast pens squad.

Either way you're not giving them enough credit, might just be the rivalry thing so it's understandable.

I am giving the Rangers credit. The series will be close, but there are too many Devils fans are here already stating 'the Rangers are going to upset everyone in the conference" might as well pencil them in for the Cup then.

If I am the Rangers I want to play Boston, not Pittsburgh. But who cares?

MAF is going to get owned at some point this postseason, he isn't the goalie that won that cup anymore. I just don't think the Rags are the team that will abuse him. If Boston shows up the Rags will get smacked around left and right.

Ya they got better at the deadline, but I think people also forget the Rags were a really bad team before the deadline. They were not a playoff team at all. Now they are, but they aren't a cup contender.

Something is off with Boston, the only teams they seem to beat are the Devils and Florida. In the games they played against the Devils they looked terrible. Something is lacking, and their scoring even w.Jagr is kind of iffy. Their road to the Stanley Cup was a struggle, besides the 4 game sweep. Any team coached by Julien is questionable.

It has to be Julien right? They had this problem last year too, and on paper I don't see why they struggle so much. There has been something off with them for two years now. I really don't understand the Bruins.

If the Rangers defense looks like it did last year in the playoffs, and Pittsburgh can get to Lundqvist like we did then they can win I think. That's if the Rangers do make it that far. However I don't trust either of those jokers in net.

Will Paul Martin be back for Pittsburgh during the playoffs? Is Letang even back yet? I don't trust MAF and you know there will be a goalie controversy. MAF has sucked for 2 or 3 years straight in the playoffs, and Vokoun hasn't been in the playoffs in like 8 years and has barely any experience in them. Not to mention he's over the hill to begin with if you've watched him. Gives up a bad goal every game, and even the ones he wins.

This year's Pens defense is miles better than last year.. mostly because Paul Martin was actually playing pretty well.

I don't trust it 100% but it takes a team with a ton of offense to be able to outscore Crosby and Malkin.. Philly IMO is the only team that beats them last year.

I think Rangers get to 7 though cause Ottawa seems like they're lost.

Last spring wasn't all MAF's fault....his defense played a large role in that series. I never saw such horrible defending in my lifetime.

But it's most likely Rangers vs Boston. And if the Pens play the Sens than they will make haste with them quite easily I think. Karlsson or no Karlsson

Indeed Sens look lost, and if Pitt gets them they will chew them up. I still think Boston should beat the Rags...but ya IDK about that team right now. Julian can't get them to take the next step they should be able to take.

Woe to however gets Pitt in the 2nd round. If the Rags wanted to tangle with them it was in the first round. Letang is back (well I know he played at least once recently). I don't know about Martin or Crosby. From their initial timelines they both should be back for the 2nd round.

The defense was really lost, but the quality of goals Fleury was giving up were really horrific. Bryz was giving up a lot of goals for the Flyers, but he didn't look nearly as bad as MAF from what I remember.

Who knows though Vokoun might even get the nod. Part of the reason they got him had to be cause of how shaky MAF is. While I still think he's seen better days he could be a starter on some team in the league out there. He's got a 25 save shutout going against Ottawa right now.

In true Devils fashion too. The Sens are outshooting Pittsburgh 25-15 but down 2-0. Much of the shots Vokoun has had to stop aren't anymore difficult then what goalies who've shutout the Devils have had to face lately.

To be honest, lots of people were terrible in that series last year. That was pond hockey pure and simple.
