38-15 in shots and they're winning. What a ****ing joke.

Too bad mid-season would've been perfect timing for the legendary Leafs' regression™

lol everyone'd be shocked if six teams got out of the first round. A couple are going to do it by default.

Yea the Northeast is massively overrated. Boston is the only team I see doing anything in playoffs and their in a bit of tailspin right now.

I really can't see anyone challenging Pittsburgh come playoff team. The 7 other teams in the East are pretty mediocre. I actually think Washington might be the team that has the best chance to take them out.

Penguins and the Capitals are the most dangerous in the top half.

Bottom half, Rangers and Islanders.

Toronto, Boston, and Montreal something is very wrong w/these 3 teams.

Senators get lost in the shuffle.

Yea I wouldn't be surprised if the Islanders went on a bit of a run here. There the hot team like we were heading in last year. If they get 7th I can see them upsetting whoever the 2 is.

Boston certainly has talent, but it wouldn't shock me if Khudobin was starting by Game 3 of the playoffs. They don't trust Rask at all. Montreal has talent, but it's the Therrien system, they're certainly vulnerable. I think Toronto's a little better than this board gives them credit for, but there's always the Reimer question. Not a huge fan of Winnipeg at all. The Isles could probably win the right matchup but they don't have enough to do much beyond maybe one upset.

Toronto's offense always give them a chance to win so I can see them getting out of the first round. People like to rag on them but they can score goals in a hurry. There's something very wrong with Montreal right now. Their goaltending is going down the toilet. I really like Washington right now. I see them and Pitt in the conference finals depending on the matchups in the early rounds. If the Islanders get 7 and Boston gets 2 I think New York has good chance to take them out.

The leafs bother me because they literally do nothing the entire game and come down the ice and score. I just don't see how that's going to work in the playoffs when teams start to tighten up. Apparently they have been out shot in 20 of their 25 wins this season. They remind me of the Panthers last season, 5 on 5 play is beyond putrid, but they are good on the PP and PK. However, the east does stink, so they can win a round. Habs would be there best match up. I still think they got lucky it was a short season, and I expect a dip. The Islanders on the other hand are dominating many of the teams they are playing during this stretch. It's like night and day with them and the leafs.

pens vs capitals conference final, bettman would be very happy.

At this point I'd take it. I don't really see too many other teams beating a healthy Pens team, key word being healthy. Even the Rangers as impressive as they've been don't match up well with the Pens but they could knock anyone else out and create the nightmare ECF.

Montreal's actually my best hope (besides Pitt) of knocking the Rangers out since they always seem to give them fits.

The Penguins fans on their board do not want to play the Rangers for some reason, but I agree. Pittsburgh would have the best shot. I hope they go through the east.

I like the Capitals. If they give that ***** Crosby the Hart Trophy when he missed the last third of the season then I'll fume. Can we please get names like Craig Anderson, and Sidney Crosby out of the Vezina/Hart talk please? One guy missed half the frickin season with injuries, and the other guy missed the last third of the season with an injury. It's insulting to those awards, and the guys who actually deserve them. Not blaming those guys for getting injured, but they just shouldn't be in the talk.

Ovechkin should get the Hart Trophy. The Caps were in the toilet before he woke up, and now they're on the verge of winning their division after a horrid start.

I'm not particularly a fan of Ovechkin but I particularly hate Crosby. Easy choice to me.

Ok, I like Malkin but he looks terrible in black and gold.

Not to mention the RW experiment worked even more for him than it did for Kovy, probably ensuring Kovy never moves off RW again since DeBo and Oates copy each other

And I still think Bobrovsky should get Vezina 'and' Hart consideration if he drags that sorry *** team into the playoffs.

ovy's great. the guy actually has a personality to go along with his hockey skills unlike the drone ball punching whiny ***** sidney.

i would really enjoy a meeting of the 2 teams with a caps win but would rather the pens burn out in round one (unless its vs the rags....then **** them both, wouldnt watch one second of it)

Yeah Bobrovsky wouldn't be unworthy of it that's for sure. I've had enough of this Anderson crap though when the guy was injured for half the season, and the same goes for Crosby.

What did Milbury say, that Ovechkin was turning into Yashin or something? He'd know about high-paid Russian busts lol

That's not really accurate though. Only two teams have scored more 5 on 5 goals.

You're right about Florida though - 28th in 5 on 5 goals last year.
