Just got home. Looks like I haven't missed much. :sarcasm:

At least I didn't get any infractions today!

Did you guys really expect anything?

1-UFA pool is the worst in years, i bet an expension draft would have more quality.

2-The contract thrown away so far are brutal

Problem is, Habs need a top 4 defenseman -- or so we all assume -- and not another 5-6th defenseman.

None on the market.

This rumor has been out for more than an hour and hasn't been picked up by anyone.

I was thinking the very same thing. John Lu doesn't have any rumblings of it or LeBrun or McKenzie.

Can someone check via twitter and get a response back from LeBrun or McKenzie if it is true or not.

This should be everyone's attitude. I can't understand how people would refuse a trade that makes our team better because they have a hardon for a certain player. Phoenix offers us OEL for eller and I say see ya!

Eller is basically my favorite player and I'd still drive him to the airport.

I'd love to dump DD and Gio as much as the next guy, but there's no way we get anything like this.

Maybe Philly wants McCarron :help:
I was thinking picks for next draft but yeah I have no idea what Philly would want for a huge package like that.

YES, please this

Yeah, I'd prefer to keep something like:

Max Pacioretty - Tomas Plekanec - Brendan Gallagher
Alex Galchenyuk - Lars Eller - Daniel Briere
Rene Bourque - Max Talbot - Wayne Simmonds
Ryan White - Gabriel Dumont - Brandon Prust

Josh Gorges - PK Subban
Andrei Markov - Braydon Coburn

No idea what that means for guys going back though.

Looks like we lost both Beileau and Tinordi in that one.

Why is it short term? Simmonds is same age as Pacioretty and was on pace for 27g/58pts last season and had 28g/49pts in 11/12

cause I think that gallagher will develop offensive talents that will surpass simmonds and if we want simmonds to play the way he does, hes far more likely to drop off due to injury/wearing down.

I like simmonds a whole lot, a whole lot and it might be a homer pick but I think that gallagher has a bigger upside.

I highly doubt LeBrun or McKenzie is going to reply to any of us today.

I'm just convinced that any big name coming here from Philly includes Pronger so he doesn't count against their cap at the start of the season prior to being placed on LTIR

That's a fake Bob McKenzie account Tweeting the #Habs Plekanec to Flyers for Simmonds and Talbot deal. No truth there. #GoHabsGo

I am sorry, but I disagree. Gallagher is just as likely to become injured due to the way he plays than Simmonds
