Mike Downing. Might sneak into the 3rd. Kid's got an edge.

"As the season progressed he played a much more confident and complete game," Central Scouting's David Gregory told NHL.com. "He carries the puck well out of the zone and makes good decisions on when to hang on to it or move it ahead. Sees the ice well in transition and has a pro pass. He is willing to mix it up, especially when defending down low. He is also very good at moving the puck on the power play. He has a good, hard shot that he gets through to the net, but can and will fake his shot and make a quick pass to the open man. He is not afraid to jump to an open hole on the offensive attack to create scoring chances. He will need to show all of this with more consistency for the next level."

What's so uninformed about RB's post? He's a prospect, I didn't know that you know he's gonna be an amazing player in this league.

It's called an opinion.

Theres a difference between an opinion and "Lol he's russian"

Very high risk-high reward top 5 talent.
How will he like playing in Tennessee or North Carolina?
I'm sure these questions come up at the combine and teams will be able to gauge how he will deal with culture shock.

Point out where he said "Lol he's Russian".

Taking him at #1 IMO would turn out to be a disaster.

Claiming the kid will be a "disaster" and "a problem for an organization" is pretty damning

While skimming a draft site, i ran into these names in the 3rd rd. The scouting reports look fine and the Rangers could use them IMO.
What do you guys think of these for the 2 3rd's the Rangers own?

Hudson Fasching RW US-Under-17 (USAH-NTDP) 6' 2.5" 204

Avery Peterson C Grand Rapids High School (HS-MN) 6' 1.75" 193

Jesse Lees D Kelowna (WHL) 6' 1" 165, shoots right.

Michael Brodzinski D Muskegon (USHL) 6' 0" 188, shoots right

Zach Sanford LW Middlesex Islanders (EJHL) 6' 3" 190

John Hayden C US-Under-18 (USAH-NTDP) 6' 2.5" 216

Yes!!!!

I'd bet money that Fasching and Hayden don't make it to round 3.

Agreed.

Just a thought here. Does anyone else have the feeling that the Rangers could make a deal with the Flames for one of their three 1sts? I know there are others that could be suitable for a trade, but food for thought?

Pretty big draft for the Flames, 3 1st rounder's including #6 overall, at the Devil's lair no less ;)

Peterson reminds me alot of Fogarty in his draft year. Nice hands on that kid, he's a big guy too.

Lees, slick offensive Dman, used to be a forward, has a good head for offense, QB on the PP.

Brodzinski is an offensive Dman as well. Going to the Gophers, Skjei teammate. They are bringing in many rookies next year, that's gonna be a tough environment.

Sanford is a BC recruit, of course we will hear inevitable comparisons to Kreider but I wouldn't say he has those kind of tools. He has a nice big frame, good instincts, but very raw. Offensively he's a force to be reckon with being that big and having some skill, but his game needs work in all areas, he'll be at BC for a few years at least.

All these guys have nice potential, I would not mind these names in the 3rd round, depending on who's there of course.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'd take Lee as the PP QB of the future.
Of the forwards, from your comments, I don't think anyone of them has the 'snarl' I'd be looking for.
