Whether its true or not I would definitely take Jagr on the right deal. Guy can still do a lot.

Put him on the right line and it will cycle for days on end.

Watching Jagr in the playoffs it just looked like he had nothing going for him and was snake-bitten. He certainly had his chances and was still able to generate chances for him and his linemates but nothing was working. I wouldn't be too concerned about his lack of production in the post-season as a sign that he's running out of gas cause that didn't look to be the case on the ice. If he plays around 15 minutes a night I don't see why he can't play the majority, if not the whole, season and the post-season if we make it there.

You know how the "tour of the arena" and "saw at the airport" claims are? Hitchcock at Newark airport and the arena, DeBoer at the airport, etc

What's really laughable is that the Devils are holding scrimmages behind the Iron Curtain, how would anyone even know Jagr was there...tailing his car or recognizing his mullet while he was going to the entrance?

TG pretty much said it sounded like the term was the last major thing they were working on, but that might of been his speculation and reading through the lines.

if Brunner is 3 or less yes. Remember the more forwards we add, the existing ones cap hit comes off the roster, so to speak, since the new guy replaces him

I really don't know why everyone is so confident we'll sign Brunner. I'm sure Lou has called about him, but I'm confused by all these reports.

People are speculating that Lou knew about Kovalchuk before free agency began. He added Clowe, Ryder and Olesz n the first day and afterwards he said he was done signing outside free agents.

Why would he all of a sudden turn to Jagr, Brunner, Grabovski etc when he knew about Kovakchuk all along and declared that he wasn't going to sign more UFA's?

Because our current forward group is pretty horrendous and we need help. We just lost 35-45 goals.
