Devils' lines are back to what they were for first two periods Thursday.

And we learn nothing from past mistakes

I can't understand for the life of me why we are dressing #7. He got twirled inside out about 5 times, screwed up when trying to hold the zone so Anton took a penalty, looked completely lost on the following PK wich saw the Caps score and yet... Fayne get's to watch from the pressbox?

Can someone, anyone, give me a solid reason as to why #7 is playing over Fayne. I just don't want to say his name anymore, so I'm calling him #7 from now on.

Only logical explanations are Fayne is injured or another team has a deal in place with Lou for #7 but they want to see him play for about 5 games first.

Other than that, there is no logic to playing #7, unless you are trying to tank.

You won't like this but I could give you 3.4 million reasons?

if another team had a deal in place but wanted to see him play in a few games before completing it they have most certainly retracted that offer by now.

Well if we're playing #7 to showcase him, we're getting a low 7th round pick, nothing more.

His salary is meaningless IMO. Lou and this entire organisation is there to win games/championships... We wouldn't dress a player just because he's earning a heavy paycheck.

Yes, unless that team is trying to tank this season or if they will need #7's contract next year to bring them to the salary cap floor.

YAY! Can't wait to see Conerik passed around like a blow up doll by Ovy and company again!

Knew that would happen. We won so he won't make any changes, so Fayne is still stuck in the pressbox.

Slight detour from the daily hate parade on Tallinder, if I may

Some praise on the team environment from Oates after last night's game...

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
Adam Oates spoke glowingly today about "the Devils' culture" and he and George McPhee agreeing they want to establish that with Caps.

Oates on Devs' culture: "no matter what Marty’s your goalie and we’re going to protect him and minimize the chances...and yet we’re going to score enough goals. This is how we do it. The culture has never changed and that’s one of the things I talked to George about. What the system will allow us to do is... that every single night the car is going to run itself and we just have to make sure we don’t derail it. Patrik Elias has been there a long time. So, he’s been doing that play for 15 years of his career, not just for a year and the culture has never changed."

(scraps of TGs tweets put together, it's a little rough)

We give up PP goals everytime Conerik is on the PK tomorrow BOOK IT!

Also why does Pete put number 7 back on the ice after a goal against? Last night he did it both times. Especially after the one he caused.

Let's face it he's worth ****. I can easily see him being bought out this Summer. He's a shell of who he was in Buffalo. He might even be a shell of who he was his previous time in Jersey. And he's sucked 3/4ths of his time there.

Moose gets the start tomorrow.

Pete does not want him to play on home ice this season I guess.:dunno:

#7 has done nothing to keep him in the lineup. :banghead:

What's wrong with the daily hate parade of Tallinder? What about his play last night says he deserves to be in again?

Tallinder is Foster bad right now. A complete liability, and I feel like I'm gonna have a bowel movement every time I see him on the ice.
