Dude he has been fine with getting the puck up ice. Not the most orthodox way but he'll make a quick pass out of the zone.

No complaints about his game in the defensive zone, but he has been worse than ever in the offensive zone this way. Constantly throws D to D passes over the blueline, and he can't hold the zone to save his life. Kills so many potential cycles. At least Salvador can do both decently.

Anyone can get it up the ice, the point of a breakout is to counter attack, not just clear the zone.

Anyways, Volch won't change and he'll continue to be brutal when handling the puck in all 3 zones...

the end.

Thank God

Gio/Sal/Poni all skating today

Jacques Lemaire is in the house. Watching practice from the stands

Man I always feel more comfortable when he's around for some reason.

I am more excited that Lemaire is there.

After reading this comment as a reply to TG's Lemaire post

''I've seen this movie before.Wont end well for Deboer.''

I originally read your post as ''I am more worried that Lemaire is there'' thinking that Pete would be getting canned.

Whoever posted that comment was either joking, or doesn't realize Lemaire is a special assignment coach for us still. Plus he lives in the Tampa area.

Salvador's playing tomorrow night, Gio/Poni are morning skate decisions. And Marty starting in Tampa.

O great back to back means we have to see Moose in net again. Hopefully he is back to backup form moose instead of starting moose.

Is that a given considering Marty has had so much time off? My guess would be yes that would be the next Moose sighting, but stretch run I wouldn't be shocked if Marty goes almost the entire rest of the way.

Depending on what Marty's workload looks like tomorrow I'll be cool with him on Saturday too. If not I trust backup Moose a lot more than starting Moose.

I'm glad this team got to take a bit of a break in Florida. A couple days to recharge could be just what they needed.

It hasn't been nice at all. Sunny but some of the coolest temperatures in a while. Like 55 and 57 for highs. It was warmer in January and February!

The Gulf is also the coolest it's been during March in years. Or at least by me. I bet they stayed in Clearwater, I was thinking the Don CeSar in St Pete Beach, but it's kinda dead down there. They probably went somewhere where there was some nightlife. Or maybe not after the TMZ stuff!

How do you think this team breaks apart into little groups when they're given a break like this? I bet Kovy, Lokti, Poni, and maybe Volch are together in an overpriced night club. Elias, Zid, Clarkson, Salvador, Zajac, Moose, and Greene go somewhere and drink scotch. Carter, Bernier, Gio, D'Agostini, Larsson, Harrold, and Henrique are all playing video games before they go try and pick up chicks. Tallinder, Barch, and Sestito are all by themselves. Barch especially.
