You're quick, beat me to it.

Hopefully Granlund can impress.

Doubt it with Bouchard and Heater.
He obviously needs some Seto/Parise/Zucker/Coyle -like guys around him. Speed/grit/body.

Bouchard - Granlund. Good individuals but.. the same kind. And add current Heater (very much stationary) to the mix.

Hope it works, but I don't know how.. though.

E: I mean Wild are playing dump and chase. This line (Bouchard - Granlund - Heatley), where are the chasers?

Well, maybe this way Yeo will stop playing his "third line" as his second line. Doubt it though, that "4th line" is going to get a ton of time. I'd wager that they'll be equal or more than the new "3rd line" in terms of ice time. Especially considering a line of Granlund, Bouchard, and Heatley is a mix of players that aren't exactly in Yeo's good graces.

I think you are right but i also think Yeo is going to contine to change lines during games and i personally don't have a problem with that. I really thought the changes he made on the fly last night made sense and were well managed.

Eventually he's going to exhaust every possible line combination and everyone will have chemistry with everyone!

(Right? :()

Yep. Heatley isn't doing anything. Bouchard isn't doing anything. But it looks bad to have them on the 4th line.

So you put them on the "third" line with granlund, and you only play them if they are playing well.

The line does have extreme skill though. It's a question of can they put the required work in to be able to utilize that skill.

Anyone else think that since we have Rupp... Konopka has become kind of redundant? I'd much rather have every other Center on the roster in the game than Konopka at this point.

Rupp isn't even the #1 reason why Konopka is redundant right now. I'm getting pretty sick of his antics.

I'm just saying, Rupp's presense has made Konopka... not needed at all. Add in the fact that better hockey players are benched to get Konopka in the game... and it's even worse.

Konopka truly adds nothing needed in the lineup.

The Wild put Kassian on waivers. We have Konopka and Rupp. I was hoping the reason we got rid of Palmieri and Powe was to clear a roster spot for an imminent trade. I hoped wrong. Instead we are stuck with a bunch of goons.

I'm not gonna judge Fletch yet. He may have something up his sleeve. But Rupp for Powe and Palmieri? Just Stupid. Rupp has no value other than a goon. Atleast Palmieri had an upside.

Disagree. I think Rupp is a very serviceable 4th liner.

The move for Rupp was a good one. He's added something needed on the roster. Pamieri didn't want to be here, good riddance, Powe... we have like 3 guys just like him - Clutterbuck, Mitchell, Brodziak... too many.

Konopka is the guy I have a problem with. He added absolutely NOTHING to tyhe team when they played him today. Just made the 4th line beyond invisible again like it was at the start of the season.

I completely agree. Beyond being a good guy to have around cuz he is likable I am not sure what his role is supposed to be on this team. If his role is to continually get instigators then i guess he is succeeding at that but somehow i don't think that is what the Wild wanted when they brought him in.

I'd have to disagree Talon. Konopka brought something that the Wild have never been great at. Winning a faceoff. Not bad for a 4th line tough guy. I like him for that. I don't like tough guys but if he can win faceoffs.

OK, great. Powe wasn't a good 4th liner? and we lose Palmieri to boot. What has rupp brought to the team. A little toughness. Hah. whatever.

He does little things, breaks the puck out, board play, etc... He lacks foot speed, but I'm not disappointed in him at all.

And when you say Palmieri didn't want to be here. So what? He is stuck here. He has value. You use him like you would a chip in a Las Vegas casino. You don't throw him away like an idiot for a goon like Rupp. I lost respect for Fletch after that bonehead move.

Rupp isn't a goon. Be mindful of what that word really means.

I can't critisize Fletcher when it come to scouting and drafting. I can critisize him when it comes to hiring a coach and making trades. For a highly educated man he makes some stupid moves. Yeo is his biggest mistake. But who am I?
