Where you at now Beegoalie? Coyle scores first game back. You coming over to the Heatley sucks team yet, I know Yeo is having put him on the 4th and 2nd lines to see if anything would work for that piece of garbage player. Watch when he is on the fourth line next game.

Coyle has scored one goal..in 6 games he has a STELLAR 1 goal for his only point. Also he's produced the HUGE amount of 7 shots on goal while playing with the teams best playmakers.

Talk to me when he scores at a pace that is better than 13 goals in a full season..because those 13 goals in 80 games sure as hell aren't going to outproduce what Heatley pots with Koivu and Parise in those 80.

Coyle simply isn't ready to produce at a level offensively that warrants him to be on the top line. He has all the tools but he isn't going to magically become a 20-25 goal scorer in his first year in the league.

Heatley is that already whether you like it or not. Even slow as hell he is still that and we need goals..the team is DEAD LAST in the NHL in goals and you want to run Heatley out of town..like he's our sole problem scoring. Sure should he have more goals?? Probably..but lets not forget the guy is second on the damn team in goals.

You wanna get rid of him and set more records for worst offensive team in the history of the NHL??

Be my guest.

I would like to see these lines. Parise and Koivu works good sometimes and Granlund has lot of experience about being right wing. Cullens line works well. Coyle isnt bad choice for center. Now we have three lines who can play offensive hockey and hopefully make some goals.:handclap:

Parise-Koivu-Granlund
Zucker-Cullen-Seto
MPB-Coyle-Heatley
Rupp-Broziak-Mitchell

Sorry my english

Rotating yeah, but Granlund is likely to play today regarding to the first PP unit time he had in the practice...

These are the correct lines for this team at the moment. Yeo take notes.

Parise-Koivu-Granlund
Zucker-Cullen-Setoguchi
Heatley-Brodziak-Bouchard
Rupp-Konopka-Mitchell

Just do it already. Everything else locked for 3 games except 2LW and 3rd both W's.
If Zuck cools seems to cool off, put Heater there and PMB to 3LW and Coyle 3RW.

If Heatley is coasting on 3rd, bench him -> PMB 3LW + CC 3RW

I am not sold on Coyle. I do not understand why he's possibly on that first line again and Granlund isn't given a chance there.

Hilarious. Have you seen Heater play this year? Coyle could easily put up 20goals on that top line given the time your allocating to Heatley.

What you don't realize is that Heatley drags down the play of his other teammates. Sure he could pot a few more given the top time, but he sure as hell isn't contributing to the offensive game of anyone else. We need someone that fits in with Parise and Koivu's games and doesn't limit their success.

Agreed. I'm not saying Coyle is the answer for that line. But we need to move on from Heatley, he is not a long term fit for the 1st line. Parise and Koivu aren't getting any younger, so the sooner we can find someone(trade or a Wild prospect), the better. Let them play together and build chemistry.

 Charlie coyle had 14 goals in 47 in the American league..putting him on pace for 23 goals..in the AMERICAN LEAGUE. Playing in every situation and top line minutes...

So your saying that he is going to come into the best league in the world and all a sudden find a scoring touch that he hasn't fully developed yet in professional hockey(or any level other than the QMJHL) and become a go to goal scorer..all in his rookie season??

Im awfully curious as to what league you think your watching. Do you know how many rookies scored over 20 goals last year??

2. One happened to be Gabriel Landeskog and the other Matt Read. Matt Read is 26 and Landeskog was a #2 overall pick that was ahead of his years.

Now your going to sit here and tell me that Charlie Coyle is gonna come right in and do things that players like RNH, Cody Hodgson, Sean Couturier, Adam Henrique and Brayden Schenn couldn't do in their rookie seasons? How about the year before where Tyler Seguin and Jordan Eberle couldn't come up with those numbers.

Coyle is going to be a good player in this league..I'm a firm believer in that but the fact is you've been playing too much Xbox to realize that players don't come into the league and become 20 goal scorers instantly..especially ones that haven't proven they can light up the AHL first.

I woud be really curious to see these lines for a couple games.

I agree Heatley needs to be either demoted or benched at this point. If for no other reason than to send him, and the rest of the team a message.

Switching lines after every game seems to be really working out well for this squad.

It really has become ridiculous. With all of the talk about this team needing time to gel, it doesn't exactly help the process to never play with the same lines. It just seems like we're at the point of picking lines out of a hat before each game.

Tell that to all the people who had fbj scoring 20 goals and winning the Calder and keep demanding prime TOI for him when he already had it and failed to capitalize.

Common knowledge on this board that Cullen and Seto drug the kid down. Funny how both of them started playing better when fbj was dropped from the 2nd line...

You do know Clutts is on IR, don't you?

Granlund couldn't handle the 2nd Line Center position. So now you think he should be the 1st Line Center? With another rookie?

Radical new lines that I just thought up for ****s and giggles:

Zucker - Koivu - Seto
Parise - Granlund - Coyle
Bouchard - Cullen - Clutter
Rupp - Brodziak - Mitchell

Bench Heatley's ass for a game or two.

I've been thinking something like that myself.

Especially the Parise-Granlund part. Mikko doesn't need anyone. He's heck of a hockey player and makes people around him better. Therefore I'd pair Parise and Granlund because MG needs elite talent around him to succeed.

Agree with Mikko but not with Granlund.

In a year or 3 Granlund is going to be one of those players that makes whoever the heck they put alongside him look good.

That being said I'd love for him to get a chance to play with a Parise or Zucker..someone that loves to shoot it. Heck even Heater.

Back to your point on Mikko though..I agree that we could easily play him on any of our top 3 lines and that line would go. He's that type of player. Heck the guy had Antii Miettinen on his wing for 2 years and still produced.

Every winger in our top 9 is better than fricken Miettinen!

IR Clutterbuck

Healthy scratch Heater and Spurgon

To me Spurgon has looked beyond awful, it seems like he's lost a lot of confidence and when he actually goes to do something nobody (including his d partner) can't seem to predict what he might do and because of it they have a tough time covering for him. To me it's almost like he makes those around him worse, even thou he often makes a good play or jumps in to the offence at a good time. I think his chemistry with others might be worse than it is for Clutterbuck. Oh and Heater is just too slow for my liking, he's still got good hands and hockey awareness but he's just too slow. The team imo would be better without him (unless he'd accept playing on the 4th line and possible the 2nd pp unit.). I just think speed is such a huge advantage in the league today, especially when we want to play a forechecking game.

With a possible suspension coming for Coyle, I would like to see Granlund given a chance on the top line. At least back on the 2nd line though if not.
