Sharks fan coming in peace here; is there a possible trade foundation around Joe Pavelski for Jake Gardiner and James Van Riemsdyk?

Maybe for JVR + prospect... it would be hard to swallow even if it's one for one (Gardiner for Pavelski) even though Pavelski is awesome.

Agreed. JVR and Gardiner can probably get us into the top 3 this year.... Is Pavelski worth that?

Moving away from trade talk...what does everyone think that Kadri will sign for? I'm seeing a 2-year deal worth right around $6 mill.

Adding to that^, what about Franson and Gunnar?

I don't know about you guys, but I strongly believe that Liles and Komo are being bought out and Nonis will make a run at Pietrangelo.

A few people around the hockey world may have made suggestions that they feel Vinny's top potential destinations this off-season "could" consist of; Montreal, Detroit and Toronto.

As per usual, just take it with a grain of salt just like I do myself!

But it seems like that list is a safe bet.

He wants to stay in the east, he's always liked Toronto, he's got strong ties in Montreal and I believe one of his favourite teams growing up were the Wings.

I personally think its a 3-horse race for Vinny and don't really see him heading elsewhere.

I know I don't have your sources but I've heard a lot of talk that Montreal is the big front runner and its theirs to lose.

Would be blocking off Galchenyuk from being 1C depending how long they sign him for. It makes tons of sense, but I think we have a decent chance as well.

Phanuef yes, Gardnier no, he's the future............

Yep, def take the guy who looks like he might someday be a #1 over the guy that's a multi time all star, bonafide number any day. HF logic at its finest. And yes I get that Phaneuf is over 23 and well past his prime...

It takes a lot of pressure off Galy for the forseable future,

And yes, we have a chance.

What do they do with Plekanec then? He kills penalties for them, I don't know if Lecavalier is a great fit with them anymore.

i was watching the morrison interview on the leafs website and the recent controversy with reimer and bernier (who will be number 1) plus the recent Nonis interview on tsn gives me a gut feeling that if Fucale is available at 21 then reimer is gone at draft day

highly doubt that!

Fucale is 2/3 years away from the NHL... I would still like to add him but dont expect JR to be traded

I would say no, I personally would not even straight up for either and definitely not for Gardiner

Strong case Stastny may be bought out

To be honest not really sure where this post belongs so I guess I will start it here and see if it is still here an hour from now.

Just read a really good article explaining how the Avs will probably be buying out Stastny in a few days. If that is the case I hope TO goes after him hard.

Yes it is a Bleacher Report but I have to admit, it was a great read and he has convinced me that buying out Stastny is a real possibility.

I am sorry to intrude. But as an Avs fan I have to say:
This is the most stupid, homeristic and completely crazy article I have read in a longtime. It is only bleacherreport but the dude should be ashamed. He is so way off.
Wow. If you want to discuss it fine. But I guarantee you 100 % that Stastny will not be bought out...

Do the world a favour and never click on a bleacherreport article ... Only way they'll ever go away.
