How did Geno look? I unfortunately couldn't watch the game.

Made a few obligatory rookie mistakes, but otherwise not bad. He's got an arm. Other than Favre's short stint, it's been a long time since you saw Jet's QB throw darts.

Shaky at the beginning of the game, but looked much more confident as the game went on.

Still a lot of rookie kinks but did his best to protect the ball and had quite a few sharp passes.

Overall i thought it was a very good first game. Mostly in part due to his poise and fundamentals.

As crease said, it's refreshing to see such a strong arm and even more refreshing to see him take sacks and throw away the ball instead of trying to force passes through when it's impossible, ala sanchez.

So-so. There were a few receptions the receivers could have made. Revis didn't look so dominant, though, he could have had an interception from a poorly thrown ball. NY media is probably going to say Geno was unbelievable in allowing the Jets do get into better field goal range whilst downplaying that dumb play by the Buc.

Oh, and Schiano is still an *******.

Geno had a rough first half. Probably nerves and inexperience. Also our O-Line is very weak. However in the 2nd Half Geno showed a lot of poise and when it counted made plays. Kid is a talented QB he just needs more protection and more weapons. Hopefully we add more after this year

Actually geno does deserve credit penalty or no penalty. Kid had 30 seconds and he made a nice pass to get yards, then he ran the ball well and got out of bounds. Sure the penalty was the killer but without geno the jets would have been anywhere close to have FG. By the way the media hates the jets. the Giants are the media darlings that get thier butts kissed

I though our O-Line was fine today and should get stronger going forward. They gave Geno fairly nice protection throughout the entire game.

If you're judging the O-Line based on the running game, remember, TB had the #1 defense against the run last season.

You are right the Bucs have a very tough defense i agree. I just fet our O-Line needs to do a little better. The good news is that Geno knows how to run a bit

Our O-Line is one of our strengths. I would take that irst game from Gino 10 times out of 10, even if we didn't come up with the win.

it was the right call. His foot hit the ground at the same time. Plus the Bucs were head hunting all game

Glad to see he did well, though. He's a great kid and I hope the success continues. He's extremely talented, so I hope that the Jets live with the growing pains and develop him properly. No reason not to.

kid has a good arm and can run. now he needs weapons

Don't know who said it was the wrong call. But in the NFL, with all the injuries and QB's being overprotected, even if he is in bounds, 9 times out of 10 if he is clearly running out of bounds and is shoved at the line before stepping out, that is going to be called.

Every player should know that by now. The NFL protects their QB's, as they should.

Regardless, he'd stepped out already, so it's a moot point. Automatic penalty all day every day.

Could one of you guys give me the lowdown on this Giants team for an extremely casual fan?

If it's anything like normal, they will be a maddeningly frustrating team that is very talented and plays to the level of their competition. They will either win the Super Bowl or miss the playoffs.

Giants look awful, d has been soso, but offense with the exception of a couple good plays has looked horrendous.
