No let's just keep kicking field goals and try to beat Peyton Manning with 15 points.

You're getting the ball back. You take the guaranteed points (Josh Brown is automatic from that range) and you try and get the 7 on the opening drive. You don't gamble like that when you're getting the ball back. Period.

I could see if we were kicking off. Then you would have an argument.

The Giants throw a lot so there will be some interceptions. Not always Eli's fault but when you throw as many long passes as the giants do there will be some that are picked off

I get that, but watching the Eli over the years in the same system, it's not the long passes causing INTs (he's pretty accurate with the deep ball) most of the INT's seem to come with the receiver going one way and Eli throwing another way.
Earlier in the drive, Eli could have been picked off because Myers just stopped running the route with 3 Broncos there.

The receivers have to be thinking what the QB is.

Against Peyton Manning not getting 7 points is the gamble. They only have 10 right now but this guy made the Ravens D look like pop warner. It's a matter of time.

It doesn't matter. The team was getting the ball back. You go into half with the lead. Period. End of story. Instead, we are still behind.

What does going into half with the lead mean? A lead at halftime and $2.50 gets you on the bus.

It's a huge advantage being home, going into half with the lead, and getting the ball back. I don't see how you can't understand that. It's quite simple and it's why Coughlin was so damn annoyed turning the ball over in that spot.

Yeah but if we use touchdowns, we're down 2 maybe 1 score. If we kick more field goals we're down 3 scores.

Matter of fact, both teams have scored 3 times.

Now we will be down two scores instead of only being down 5.

if they get a td, they can always go for 2 points and tie it up....just saying :sarcasm:

but yeah last couple plays of the first half and the first couple plays of this half by the giants, pretty pitiful, gotta pull it together before it is too late.

You continue to miss the point. I'd agree with you if we were not getting the ball back. But we were. It's called gameplanning.

Yeah we got the ball back and we promptly went backwards on the ensuing drive. You don't plan points, you take them when you get them.

Where was the delay of game penalty against the Giants? The clock was 0 for 1.5 seconds and the Giants ended up drawing a penalty on the play.

This is why we get in trouble. We pass all the way down the field, get a certain distance to paydirt, and start running :shakehead
