I wouldn't mind to split the EGG line, as long as Galchenyuk and Eller stays together. Put Briere in there, I still think that line can be dominant.

Gallagher crashing the net game will probably complement DD's line better than Briere.

I like this too. I just don't think that having 2 weak players in DD and Briere on the same line such a good idea.

Keep the kids intact. Give Pleks some skill on his line and see if we can get these 3 players we desperately need to produce going. Give DD two wingers who wcan actually go into corners and the front of the net - although Bourque was invisible tonight. And bless our captain, but he's not getting any chances....leader that he is, he should have no problem being on a 4th line that can take 10-12 hard minutes and give him his PK time.

This is such a frustrating exercise - at F and especially on D, we just don't seem to have a good mix. Bergevin will have his hands full trying to get it right. I hope he can get lucky.

I thought Galchenyuk-Eller-Briere had a great shift when they scored the goal. How about:

Galchenyuk-Eller-Briere
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher (they had some good nights last year)
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Moen-Bournival-Prust (the 4th line got scored on twice tonight, needs a change)

With Gorges out, the D looks ugly:

Bouillon-Subban (Subban can hopefully cover for Bouillon)
Markov-Tinordi (maybe Markov can make him look good)
Beaulieu-Diaz
