I am. And remember, Rookie Camp starts at 1000. Per the Avs' website. I will be wearing a light gray Avs' hoodie and black Avs' cowboy hat :)

Maybe I'll see you there. I'm either gonna wear a Avs hoodie or my Sakic jersey. Idk yet. This is my first time going to training camp, hope it will be fun. :)

Just spitballing here but should the Avs bring in Mason Raymond on a tryout? As an injury replacement in the top 9 he looks a lot better to me than Olver does, and really even better than Mitchell. At this point he would come cheap if he earned a spot in camp.

Best case: Raymond earns a spot and becomes an injury replacement in the top 9, goes on to score ~15g.

Worst case: Raymond doesn't make the team, or makes the team forcing the team to waive Olver and losing him. Raymond then doesn't produce in the role.

Kinda mind boggling how hes finding it hard to find work. I would take Raymond on this teams 4th line over Olver and mitchell all damn day. I remember like it was yesterday when the Nuck fans told me Raymond is better then Duchene

Probably the amount/term/position are all playing a role. He could easily get a bottom 6 role and money, but my guess is he's hoping a team like the Pens would offer him something.

For any of you who have gone to the training camp before, is it usually really crowded?

Never been to just rookie camp, but training camp the day I went last year was packed. I would suggest showing up a little early if you want a seat.

As Gaminggiant said the main training camps are usually very packed, the problem is this is the first time I remember that a rookie camp was held on a weekend. Normally they are always on school days.

I may go, but it's likely to be just drills, so not sure what more you can get from that. Last year, Zanon looked like a stud on drills.

That's why I like the scrimmaging at training camp.

Count me as someone who would greatly appreciate any reports/write-ups that anyone can provide who will go to this thing. I'd love to attend myself, but living in KS makes it a difficult thing to do.

I'm currently at the arena. I'll post throughout the time I am here :)

Ok so if you care, a goalie just came out and is putting the nets in place (#30, Aittokallio?) and now the rest of the goalies are coming.

The goalies are warming up. :)

The players have started to come.

I couldn't help but get a vision of some little kid hiding out in his parent's closet once you said the last line.

I'll preface that by saying I was just watching Mighty Ducks while eating breakfast.
