2012- ATD -End of the World Draft- Sign Up Thread!

I was a Co-Gm in #9 (in the draft only) and would love to get back back in. I work at home now and more time to concentrate on the ATD. If I can't have my own team, I'm more than happy and willing to be a Co-GM or even an assistant GM. I'm not as knowledgeable as you guys, but my first NHL game was Orr's first game at Chicago Stadium in 66, I read a lot of NHL history books, I have tremendous respect for hockey history, this board, the Mods, and the ATD. I would be a humble respectful participant if allowed to participate, although I know my level of hockey knowledge and ATD strategy is nowhere near you guys. Thank you very much for your time and consideration in reading this post.

My team name would be the 1893 MONTREAL AAA

A resident Hawks fan! Every draft needs one!

These next couple days are the tough part (Anticipating which draft pick I get)

Very sad news Overpass,Sturm and 70's aren't participating. Three excellent GM's who have contributed so much to these boards. I hope they stick around and at least give us their opinions on certain picks etc..

Agreed. seventieslord is also one of the nicest people at the HF boards. :(

I think it's reasonable to give returning GMs the weekend to sign up. Starting on Sunday, we can recruit on the HOH for the last couple of spots (if there are any open still).

Edit: I PMed Hockey Outsider, reckoning, and MXD. All ATD vets who have been active on the history board recently. Pretty sure they've all mentioned they are done with the ATD in the past, but wanted to let them know it's on.

If anyone else can think of any ATD vets you want to have back who weren't in ATD 2011, feel free to PM them.

Sounds good to me.

I'll PM ZM and thesabre.

I think I always had the reputation to be an active GM who invest a lot of time and care into his picks and biographies. Even last year, when I was in Australia, I was able to pick a decent team and post some good biographies about my players.

This year, my only free time comes in the next thirty days. Afterwards, I will be working outside my home for the next month and afterwards flying off to Europe for the next good chunks of months. My time on the Internet everyday will be scarce.

Although I'm addicted to the ATD and love picking and writing biographies, time isn't on my side this year. So unless GM's are in ease with me being very active for the first 4 weeks, for afterwards me having on-and-off access to the Internet and probably only picking players and writing a few comment and such, I will have to pass this time around.

You know what? To Hell with it, I can't stay away. I may disappear in the playoffs, but I do love the drafting.

I'm in with a new team name.

West Island Lions

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with that. A couple of missed picks here and there are fine too, just don't miss all of them (and I'm sure you won't).
