It's kind of unfair to Zibanejad that he has to carry 2 3rd liner players, at best, while Hayes is playing with Kreider and Chytil.

He's just been consistently bad all year. He looks lost, takes dumb penalties. I'm all for giving players a shot, and I've been defending Lettieri all year, but he just doesn't look like he's playing an NHL-calibre game at all this year.

That may be the case. My point was just that will work itself out. I don’t want the coach to take a single bad play as a trigger to launch a guy to the moon. It can be a learning moment or an excuse to punish a guy. I hope Quinn goes the former direction.
