We were never going to stay that hot. More than anything, I think the team is exhausted after playing the top teams night after night.

We aren’t there yet. Still a work in progress and I still think we’ll likely miss the playoffs. That’s okay though, as long as we continue to see positive development. Would love to see us at least keep it close. But the Guhle injury is a tough one…

The fault squarely lies on @SwiftyHab's shoulders

There’s a very thin line between winning and losing in this league. I believe that we lack quality depth and it shows every time we have one or two injuries. Players play outside of their optimal chair and the fatigue has a trickle down effect in the roster and multiplies mistakes. We were bad at the begining of the year when Laine was missing. We got much better when we were fully healthy through December. Our most recent slump coincides with losing Heinemen and now Ghule.

How is "No Heineman" not the #1 choice?
If the main reason for this collapse is Heineman, we’ve got bigger problems. They’re pretty much back to Jekyll and Hyde hockey. Nothing new here .I like what Suzuki said when he stated that the players are complaining too much about penalties on the bench but also said they deserve it !! This season can’t end soon enough the drama is nauseating.

There is no other team in the league that has had to deal with 22GP in 40 day stretch … not one. Dec 9 - Jan 18

Combine that w Hutson having hit the wall and teams game planning Laine on the PP and Hutson….
