The optics for a coach benching a GM's big money signings are not good. It's how you ruin any job security.

The look on management to have Eriksson, Del Zotto, Granlund sitting puts your management team under the gun more so than when you bench Biega, and the young guys.

edit: I'm not in any way defending the move. Just seeing that as the only logic behind it. Green doesn't strike me as incompetent.

That’s the part of keeping Vanek I don’t understand. He’s so bad defensively you would want him playing in an important game.

I think you could deploy him as a PP specialist and limit his icetime, just like Ganger was used by Columbus.

But for a playoff team, you are probably right. Whistles get tucked in the playoffs so having a PP specialist is less justifiable.

Am I wrong tho?

I can't tell if you're trolling anymore or if you actually believe Boeser scoring on the PP means he's a worse player.

Boeser: 26 goals, 9 on the PP (34% of goals on the PP)
Ovechkin: 32 goals, 9 on the PP (28% of goals on the PP)
Malkin: 30 goals, 13 on the PP (43% of goals on the PP)
Tavares: 28 goals, 8 on the PP (28% of goals on the PP)

Looks like Boeser is around the same spot as the league leaders on goals. Guess they're all bad players.

I agree with the jist of your comment, but Granlund is definitely not making big money.

Both jokes throw in the Jets too well your at it. Maybe Buffalo and the Panthers (minus Luuu too)too 2 bub

C'mon kid wake up and smell the roses. Montreal has won 24 cups and 22 since 1927. One of the most successful franchise in professional sports history.
You can hate them. I have all my life and saw them win a ****load of those cups over teams I rooted for (any team in the finals against those bastards). However, you can't deny their position as the greatest franchise in NHL history.

Also, the Blues have been to the finals 3 times. Vancouver also 3? Neither has a Cup. In that they are both still equals.

If that is the excuse, how spineless and cowardly.
