Big wins! 4 points to 0 against them is fantastic! Now another b2b coming before the break.
I have a full bottle of Wild Turkey 101 at the ready.
They are constantly disappointing us.wait i'm confused? i was told that these were two guaranteed losses and that we'd miss the playoffs and sell at the deadline? did the team not know?
The whole division is fairly close, with basically only 3 games separating 1st from 6th.Bolts play in Detroit Saturday afternoon. It's a tight race right now
1. Panthers - 67 points
2. Maple Leafs - 66 points
3. Lightning - 62 points
4. Senators - 62 points
5. Red Wings - 61 points
6. Bruins - 60 points
Don’t worry, there’s still timeThey are constantly disappointing us.
Could be, but Lilleberg seems even more likely to face a challenge at some point. Compher still hasn't returned from that hit. Personally, I'd like to see a little bit of animosity between division rivals, and if I were a Detroit fan I would really disappointed if there was no response at all.Wings fans seem to think 86 might face some payback for the slick-slew last game. Being a former Detroiter, I warned them that it’s probably not a good idea to run 86. Kinda like VL: you do that at your peril. They didn’t see Kuch get sticked back in the corner, preceding the trip. I think the RW bench and players know way better than to do something really stupid.
Isn't Detroit a soft team? Do they even have a player who can challenge Lilleberg?Could be, but Lilleberg seems even more likely to face a challenge at some point. They are very soft but Lilleberg isn't some intimidating fighter. My money would be on Chiarot, maybe Rasmussen.Isn't Detroit a soft team? Do they even have a player who can challenge Lilleberg?
Care to elaborate, maybe because he looks like a teenager? I'm just looking at his stats, 3 established heavyweights challenged him over a short period of time and it didn't go well for them. Since then he's been left alone, even after that hit in Detroit he played the rest of the game and they didn't retaliate. So I think he's gained some respect out there. They are very soft but Lilleberg isn't some intimidating fighter. My money would be on Chiarot, maybe Rasmussen.
Big strong kid who is willing, at this point in his career. Still a rarity in the NHL and I give him credit for embracing this role. He'll get better with experience but the only arguable "heavyweight" he fought was Kastelic, who hit his head on the ice. Lilleberg is strong on his skates and lands on top usually, that's good for him. Frederic isn't a great fighter and pumped him pretty good, even though he showed a lot of heart. Has he gained some respect out there? Probably. But he isn't a feared fighter, not even close. Luckily, Detroit is one of the softest teams in the league so I don't worry about some tough guy caving him in.Care to elaborate, maybe because he looks like a teenager?
