how the **** is that overturned? Howard tripped him outside of the crease!

If the refs didn't screw up the rule there, they have to change it, that's ****ing ********. You can't punish Lindberg because Howard tripped him.

Technically they didn't punish Lindberg because he wasn't assessed a penalty.

So it seems like it's a Joel ward caps rangers game 5 situation where ward makes contact with the king outside the paint and it's no goal? At least they are consistent

howard trips him OUTSIDE the crease. Thats a good goal.

Won't lie, i'm not fully up to speed on these exact goalie situations. But it's not like Howard blantly stuck his stick out and tripped Miller. Howard was in his position from the scrum, prior Ranger shot attempt, and Miller's foot came up and hit howard as he was in the crease.

Seemed like the right call. I'm a Ranger fan.

Edit: Lindberg, not Miller.

The thing is the play was challenged. It's one thing if the ref makes a bad call on the ice, ti's another if they can review it in slow motion from multiple angles and still make a bad call.

I just think the refs either don't know the rules or the rules are badly written. From a logic sense, that should've been a goal.

Look at the play, he blatantly stuck out the stick and it ended up tripping Lindberg.

Howard got away with one.

I still don't see it as Howard intentionally tripping Lindberg. I see Howard holding the butt of his stick scrambling to get into position in the crease.

Again, I don't know full rules of situation, so I'll leave it at that. Go Rangers
