Unpopular thought...staal wasn't nearly as bad today as game 1
I think your opinion is completely wrong and the problems you're seeing are exaggerated.Things are done very slowly in this organeyezation. Quinn himself is showing some red flags so far, and his lack of judgement by keeping Ruff around is pretty sad.
So two random guys suggested it and you thought it was confirmed information?
For the 500th time, he has a full NTC and has stated he does not want a trade.

Et tu, Brute?
I don't ruff is intentionally making them play bad defense so the head coaches can get fired, im pretty sure its just he's a bad coach along with us not having a lot of talent on the backend. I mean look how bad of a tire fire his defense was in Dallas despite having a top dman in John Klingberg who is like 100 times better then any dman we currently have.
I don't know what to make of it outside of 3 rd paring until he gets more experience. Not gonna lie, after these last two games, I'm looking forward to seeing the mouth return just to call out Neal Stionk. Not bc I hate Neal's play. Just...idk...the predictability of it.
The plan calls for Oliver and Ruff to accompany Quinn behind the bench while Brown will be upstairs. Brown and Ruff will work with the defense. Ruff, who along with goaltending coach Benoit Allaire survived the purge that cost Vigneault and assistants Scott Arniel and Darryl Williams their jobs, will be responsible for the penalty kill, while Oliver and Brown will share responsibility for the power play.
Well, you’re right about one thing: thats a quick search. That’s a blog speculating about the posssible staff.
Here is from Brooks after the coaching staff was actually announced :

Brown upstairs and Oliver and Ruff on the bench.
I mean it makes sense to keep a veteran coach on the bench when you have a rookie NHL head coach and other inexperienced coaches on staff. I guess we have to give it more than two games to see how it works.regardless, if Rangers Management was smart they would not have kept Ruff, but I guess they wanted to save some money and kept him around, bad mistake, will do more harm than good.
As someone who doesn’t have 15 years guaranteed, I have to tell you that what I saw of the game tonight (I missed the second period) was somewhat heartening. I can handle losing as long as the effort is good and the coaching is aggressive. I know we are short on talent. I want to win now but I am realistic. This season will age EVERYONE by 15 years.

No Nash. No Grabner.Meh, they were 12th in the league on the PK last year with basically the same roster.
Productive loses. Loses are fine in a rebuild as long as they are productive. As someone who doesn’t have 15 years guaranteed, I have to tell you that what I saw of the game tonight (I missed the second period) was somewhat heartening. I just hope that talent is coming. Quickly.

This.First 10 games really don't matter...it takes time for a team, a young team, to get with a new coach. And honestly the next 10 may not tell the story either
Are you really complaining about the defense in a game where they didn’t give up an even-strength goal?regardless, if Rangers Management was smart they would not have kept Ruff, but I guess they wanted to save some money and kept him around, bad mistake, will do more harm than good.
