Yeah that’s why on the PK you need to get that puck deep. You can only double back when you’re sure you’ll be able to. Otherwise, well, we see what happens when you try it without enough time and space.

50/50 call. People do it all the time. When it works, it's usually a smart or cerebral play by someone displaying patience or something to that effect

We should move up Hajek and Lindgren, defense cant really be worse.

I hope you mean defensive personnel. The PK sucked, but the defense was completely fine. I can't remember more than a handful of chances the Sabres got 5 on 5. I don't get the beef with the defense.

Buch was invisible. None of these players belong in a first line. Would like to have seen retribution for that head hit. This team is NOT TALENTED enough to win more than 25 games. Still, I'm starting to see what looks like the early stages of a cycle game ....

We almost put 50 up and lost. Garbage. Their arena was full of Rangers fans. Hutton is a backup goalie who got lucky.

Staal plays LD. I would actually sit Shattenkirk, but he and this coach go way back, so that ain't gonna happen, so nice to have coach with allegiances and biases towards some players.

I thought it was pretty good. Rangers seem to be finding some things out and improving. They pretty much dominated large swathes of this one. The sabres goalie was on fire. Refs tilted the ice in the first and second too.

I should have clarified: I meant the outcome was rubbish. We had a few mental lapses but, all things considered, were quite impressive.

Apparently, for at least half our posters, it's only fun to say how shitty the team is when the team is performing well. There seems to be less fun when the team is actually shitty.

He indeed had a few nice plays but was getting beat all night and that isn't just him. They all were. Just getting beat and blocked.

Still, this is not the worst despite still it being an awful loss.

I don't see how a handful of heady plays eliminates someone from being a nonfactor for most of the night and being stripped of the puck/losing it on a large amount of board plays
