We just don't seem like the same team from last year since we lost all those bodies.

Fedetenko, Mitchell, Dubi, Anisimov were all simple players who were good at cycling on the wall. That is the major change I can see right now. Kreider is terrible for now. Halpern and Asham barely play at this point and are totally useless. Our forecheck doesn't seem as intimidating as last year. Dubi, Prust, Feds, and Mitchell were all bangers who can get in on the forecheck relatively quickly.

Agreed, I noticed this last night as well. They can no longer forecheck effectively. And it's pretty unfortunate because they are having major problems generating offense off the rush... the passing is horrendous right now.

Everyone disagrees but it has to be the system. I mean seriously, there is no reason this offense shouldn't be able to keep up

I've unfortunately started to think the same thing. If the Caps are an "offensive powerhouse" with Ovechkin, Backstrom, Brooks Laich, and Mike Ribiero, the Rangers should be scoring 5 goals a game without even having to try.

No one is saying the season is over, we started HORRIBLY last year too but remember we started in EUROPE and on the road for a bunch of games because of MSG renovations. Its not a good sign when our ONLY goal is a 5 on 3 PP. We will still make the playoffs and make some noise but we need to get better offensively and we have the personnel to do it with so no excuses.

And this year we started after a lockout and no training camp.

I was gonna talk back to you.... but then I saw who you were and decided to shut up. Damn avatar changes.

It definitely wasn't a good game for him, as much as it pains me to say that. I think, if he was on, it'd be a 2-1 Pittsburgh game.

That said, Rangers are playing with no heart, on their HOME OPENER, the team should be embarrassed. I'm SO glad I didn't pay for this. I had a friend drop $150 to get a seat to the game... :help:

This defense isn't what we thought it was. The league is figuring out Torts' system, and this D is being exposed.
