Honestly yes.So to be clear, you think the Sharks should do your original post? You think that would be a good trade for us?

Why would the Sharks do this?Islanders can turn around real fast and build a foundation, Sharks need a defenseman not a center.

So the fact that every single non-Isles fan in this thread thinks it's absolutely horrendous for the Sharks doesn't mean anything to you?Honestly yes.
History has proven you always need to overpay to move up in the draftSo the fact that every single non-Isles fan in this thread thinks it's absolutely horrendous for the Sharks doesn't mean anything to you?
Are you sure about that? Because that's not what history shows when you actually look at it:History has proven you always need to overpay to move up in the draft
this valuation is WAY off. The last time the #1 was traded it was to move down to #3 and that deal ended up only being the #3, a 2nd, and Mikael Samuelsson for the #1 and a 3rd. That's a lot closer to say Nikolai Kovalenko being the other piece coming from San Jose value wise.
What history? Also a young top 6 winger is more than just an overpayHistory has proven you always need to overpay to move up in the draft

Agreed. Other than maybe being willing to also take back a bad contract, I wouldn't add more than the Dallas 1st or Chernyshov. I rather take Misa and roll with it for anything significantly more.At the most, I would add the Dallas 1st or Chernyshov to the 2OA to move up to 1. There is no way, I'm adding Eklund. Eklund could well be trade bait at some point, but not for this return. Schaefer would be a great fit on the Sharks, but Eklund+Misa > Schaefer. Eklund is the only established top 6 guy we have other than Celebrini and it would be silly to get rid of him, when we need more top 6 forwards.

I would offer up the Dallas 1st and a B prospect like Halttunen to get it done. Definitely not Chernyshov. Gun to my head, I'd probably do Mukhamadullin much as I love him.I wouldn’t even add Chernyshov. I’d gladly draft Misa and reunite the two. Dallas 1st is about the limit imo. Schaefer is ideal for SJ due to need but Misa has an elite 1C ceiling. It’s not that big of a gap.
I’m ok with a B prospect (Halts, Lund, Bystedt) but I wouldn’t include Muhk. I get Schaefer’s ceiling is incredibly high but we just are too thin at D to throw Muhk in there when he’s showing signs that he can be a very good top 4 dman. Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely hate to do it, but I would if that was what it took.I’m ok with a B prospect (Halts, Lund, Bystedt) but I wouldn’t include Muhk.
