Reasonable with how they’re all doing so far. Hutson is looking like an absolute steal. I’ll show my bias in saying that I hope Cooley turns out to be the best player of the 2022 draft though.

Hope Slafkovsky turns out to be as good as advertised. Wright too for that matter. Wishing that a draft pick busts is pretty damn petty if you ask me.

I mean, when someone is doing that to a prospect they are literally wishing/hoping that someone's lifelong dream of playing in the NHL is shattered because said player had the audacity of...being drafted (an act not under their own direct control) in a different position by a different team? How dare they!

Unless the person in question is a Mitchell Miller-type pile of evil, it's not cool to root for a kid to fail outright IMO. Veterans? That's a bit different.

...he scored 50 points as a 19 year old already, in his first full year, and is on pace to repeat it as a 20 year old...so please explain how he is just a "45 pt left-winger"...I swear, some people on this Site don't even watch hockey...

It's baiting. You can tell when people aren't interested in a genuine conversation. Just let it be, and then eventually that noise stops.

Agree. Habs fans mostly like the pick. We acknowledged at the time Cooley would probably be more productive, but a redundant commodity as a relatively small forward in the top 6. Slaf was described as a long term project and I think he's already ahead of predictions regarding his learning curve.

The kid has been a big dude for maybe 5 years of his life? He’s still gotta get used to being big and using his size. Bigger players can take longer. I wouldn’t freak out just yet.
