That said, I sincerely hope we take this one. The Islanders just don't register for me, but I know they really bother a lot of other Rangers fans, so I'm rooting for you guys.

I'm saying this in the nicest way possible, but you truly might be the strangest Rangers fan on the planet. You're like the most emotional, diehard person on here, yet you are totally non-chalant about us winning or losing versus our biggest rival lol.

I don't think it has much to do with fighting; the teams haven't played in a playoff game since the Rangers won the cup, so why would 'newer' fans (which includes myself) really get emotional about a historic rivalry that has no relevance today?
The Caps and Pens we've seen in a lot of playoffs recently. the Habs we had two pretty intense series against (plus some 'interesting' regular season games). The Isles, not so much....

I like the way he plays hockey. Not everyone has to be a generational talent.

I consider it a thrill that Kreider and Zibanejad play for this team. They're not superstars.

The Islanders are just not our biggest rival to me. For older fans, I totally get it, but the Islanders haven't been relevant in my lifetime.

Yea I'm a very young Rangers fan and I've never built any animosity toward the Isles
The Rangers biggest rivals to me are Montreal, Pittsburgh & Washington. Mostly just based on the amount of times we've met in the playoffs since I've been watching them
