AV has shown that he can load up the better players with ice time but it is a late stage strategy in the third, isn't it? That's how it has looked to me, not sure if totally right though.

Is this like the hundreth 1-0, 2-1 Ranger/Hawk game in the past 6 years?....lol

Seriously and I'm not going to cheat and google it but it sure seems as if we've seen this same exact Rongo/Hawk movie many many times before.

What's also uncanny is how well the Rangers play vs the Hawks pretty much every time they play...

remember last year's goalie duel where Raanta was on FIRE stacking pads and Holden scored top cheese in OT for us? what a game.

Not worried at all. This has 2-1 Rangers written all over it.

It's the way we roll when we play Chicago.

Screw it and I'm going to check how many 1-0,2-1,3-2 games we've had with them...It's got to be at least 5-6 in the past 4 years

Blackhawks deserves a goal and probably more that period. We gave them far too many quality chances. Hank is the only reason we’re not trailing.

Bad goal to give up but that’s just truly lousy luck.

Of course I remember that game. It was the battle of the backups....Darling vs Raanta with our guy emerging victorious.

That's what I'm saying...most of our games vs these guys are always the same type of game as tonight is. And typically it's our boys who emerge victorious. It's odd but we sort of have the Hawks #....:)

Honestly, not to shit on Staal but a genuine -15 and -13 on that pairing, on pace to give up 22 shots just by themselves is absolutely unacceptable.

If their names were Skjei-Smith, they'd get "lost" on the bench again.

Doesn’t excuse that ****.

Sorry. All too common these days.

Yeah, he stood on his head at times through 2... he’s the 2nd highest paid goalie in the league.

Can’t let that in.

Love him... but he can’t

He's also a human being. Come back down from that high horse.

The Hawks consistently roll out the Kane line against them and AV doesn't seem to care or try to counter in anyway

Sometimes those partially screened shots that you don't see leave the tape can be funky. Same with the Yandle goal. Henrik is losing a tad of reaction time.

He's played great so far. Worth his 2nd highest salary in the league in this one. Can't point to one goal against and say, $8.5 MILLION!!

Going back to 2005, there have been 12 of last 16 games where Rangers/ Hawks games have resulted in less than 5 goals combined. In past 7 games, 5 of them have been either 2-1 or 1-0.

I knew I wasn't hallucinating when I said I've seen this movie before....lol

Quenville is falling into AV trap. If we keep Kane's line in our defensive zone for the full 60 minutes, that means the puck never goes back to center ice which means no one scores.
