NOVEMBER SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

The powerplay has definitely made a big difference for us.
We've had a few games here where it's helped us get back in the game and take the lead.
More than anything, we've gotten momentum out of it, and I think that's our focus every time we get out there.
- Kevin Shattenkirk

I think it’s important that we realize that we are happy with the winning streak, but we’re still not in a great spot.
We had to do this to get back in the race. I think now we just need to push ourselves.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Our record in the last 10 games is very good. Probably one of the best in the NHL right now.
We're working on our game and putting up a complete game on the ice.
There's no doubt that this group is very resilient, very hard-working and we're just trying to get better.
- Alain Vigneault

Am I the only one who thinks Chicagos lineup is really, really unimpressive?

Yeah Hawks are not that good

Crawford has carried team all year and without him they would be in worse shape

Kane is playing poorly this year , Toews is back to being captain invisible , Saad vanished after a hot streak and most of the rest of team is meh or bad

Bright spots are Forsling and Debrincat. Both kids are playing very well and both figure to be part of Hawks longterm plans going forward

Eyy, its my yearly reminder that Rozsival is still somehow under contract.

Whoever gave Seabrook that contract should be taken out back and shot.

Can't pay two players on your team 10.5 million a year and expect to have good depth. Putting all your eggs in one basket is an understatement with the Hawks.

Lets be honest though... if the Rangers gave out those contracts and got multiple cups out of it, would anyone here care? Probably, but I sure as hell wouldn't.

Well yeah they won those cups. If they didn't, fans would really be all over them. It's more like a shrug of the shoulders and whatnot now. Really no shocker they are having these issues.

Grabner has 4 ENG's this season so far. Record is Bure with 9 in 99-2000. No one has had more than 5 in a season since the 04-05 lockout.

Go Grabner! We've got something new to root for in case we fall out of playoff position again.

They are at 18 pts. and they are probably more desperate than us and we always lose vs Hawks, but it helps that Panarin is at CBJ who always score against us - so it should be
an interesting game.
I predict a Rangers win here since we are in a Rasmus D. position in our division - let`s go!!! :)

We are 2-2 vs Chicago over the past 2 seasons.

Yeah I was just thinking that. They've really, really fallen far since the days when they traded half a team and then still went on to win cups. Panik on the first line, Schmaltz on the second, and pretty much nobody on D outside of Keith and Seabrook.

Toews' caphit can't help. I get he's important and they couldn't really lose him, but he is just simply not a 10.5M player. Not even close really IMO.

The Hawks haven’t won with those contracts on the books. The question is, as a fan of the team, do you feel good about giving out those contracts for services rendered while knowing they’re likely to hurt the team in the meantime.

Every year prior to playing the Hawks someone mentions how we always lose against them, and inevitably, every year someone shows stats saying we're alright against them, around .500. I think 5 years ago we were miserable against them and the rep has stuck solidly since.

Unless it's a super dramatic GWG in OT most of us remember the negatives more as the (regular season) losses tend to hurt more than the (regular season) wins feel good. Its why the eye-test can be so faulty at times.

Whats the alternative? let them walk and tank for another 5-10 years. or trade them and hope a team of good guys and depth can win you a cup in an era where two superstars is the answer?

Those contracts came as a result of them winning those cups though. Kane-Toews-Seabrook don't get the deals they did without being the core of 3 cup winning teams.
