I'm not arguing whether Kreider should play or shouldn't. However, if Bickel is going to be starting over him, even with Asham injured, he needs to be sent back down and allowed to play consistently for the Whale.

Excited to see Nash back. Rangers must win this game. Will it make or break their season? No. However, having a 4 game home-stand against Winnipeg, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, & Philadelphia (only 1 .500 team), you have to come away with at least 6 points.

And then we have one away game, in our home away from home, Nassau Coliseum, before coming back to MSG for Ottawa. :handclap::handclap::handclap:

Huge night for Eminger and the Rangers defense IMO.

With Gilroy out with the flu and McDonagh back, Eminger finally has a "spot" that he's earned, at least for one game. He needs to take advantage of this by continuing to play tough, sound hockey, playing good in the neutral zone and getting shots through to the net.

Hopefully he does that and when Gilroy comes back we can say goodnight to Bickel, because by then DZ should be back as well.

I'm really flabbergasted as to why Eminger hasnt been a regular from the start. I dont want to hear that he hasn't done this or that... because he hasn't had a chance to prove himself in 3 or 4 straight games. In the extended time he's had over the past 2 seasons hes shown that hes 2X the defender that Bickel is, and can play tough (albeit without the fisticuffs Bickel USED to provide).

I can't understand how all of that solid play just upped and evaporated in the eyes of Torts. Sure he had a tough stretch of injuries and couldnt get anything together late in the year last year. But thats in the past. The guy is an NHL defensemen with games under his belt. Use him.

We all know Torts hair trigger, ask Kreids, Boyle...etc...

I completely disagree with demoting Kreider.

For all intents and purposes he already was demoted. Playing 4-5 minutes on the fourth line wasn't doing him any good. A stint in Hartford playing first line minutes will be so much better for his development.

Kreider is not a NHL player and is hurting himself by making bad plays that lead to benchings. It's best to let him play.
