Call me crazy but I didn't mind Mika taking that penalty with the goalie pulled. It made it easier not having to worry about icing. How many playoff series in the past would we have won if they used that strategy in the past when I think of all those late blown leads late in games. Good move, Mika.

A full third of the game was not 5v5. I'm gonna go ahead and guess if we were poor 5v5 we had excellent special team play. Works for me.

Gotta give them props for making up for the awful 1st with a great 3rd. Canucks also were mostly just taking point shots and cycling in the first. As bad as the actual possession was, they managed to keep it relatively secure and stifled high danger chances

In all seriousness , because of the no icing possibility , getting the penalty actually hurt the Nucks last push.

I think this team will fall to earth.

I think the rookies will have ups and downs, and this team is finding ways to win right now. But I don’t necessarily see an approach or a depth of talent that makes me think it’s sustainable.

Having said that, the growth of the kids is essential. They have to grow and they have to become NHL players. And they are.
