If only we had a cheap talented Right Handed Offensive Defenseman...... They could take over that PP with Skeji or McDonut

Well even with him I think it'd still be better to use Shattenkirk for the full two than DeAngelo.

I actually think we should use both together on the second unit. Shattenkirk by himself at the point and DeAngelo essentially playing forward in the exact same role Zibanejad plays on the first unit. Then you have nice balance with L/R shots and can work it from either side.

After Nash's game today Chiarelli is getting ready to offer double for him
Unfortunately (especially in new york) its hard to trade a guy like that when things are going well for him and the team.
Its such a double edged sword. His value goes up but at same time he's contributing to the teams success.
Not saying its not the right move. Definitely is cause you wanna trade when value is high

Not to mention bad defense.

You control one guy and the other four are Millering
I like when they bunch up on one side of the blue line and don't support the puck, or similarly, controlling a guy coming back to defend and the rest go braindead and don't know what gap control is

You don't.... Hopefully we're just showcasing Nash. KZB need to lead the TOI everynight if we want to win
The comment that keeps on giving. He absolutely still is one of the top 3 O on the team. He plays his butt off. Sure he isn’t the scorer he once was and he absolutely isn’t a 7.8 million dollar play but this is the last year of his current contract. There would be absolutely no reason to showcase him, especially since it wouldn’t be a money dump now.

Will PC make any trades to improve his team? Think they are as delusional as ever, will want to keep Pulju due to ‘potential’, if he makes a trade I wouldn’t be surprised if it still was for some old high pick.

PC has made one good move, for Talbot. He almost blew that since he rather gave up the late first for G Reinhardt than Talbot...

Wondering how upset a couple of the regular posters here must currently be feeling after openly cheering for a last-place finish.
I was on the fence because I just felt the team was tuning out the coach, BUT you can't blame guys for being getting back to cheering for the team. If they wouldn't they wouldn't be real Ranger fans IMO.

This PP is amazing this year.
It's not amazing, it's blasphemy. Since 2005, NYR hasn't had such a good PP since... 2005? It has been an annual tradition to have a terrible PP. I can't yell at Shattenkirk when he's such a god on the PP and such a good player in the offensive zone. With a good system, Shattenkirk could be a franchise player.
