Also think it's less a Torts thing and more an entire organizational approach to development and skills maintenance. This keeps happening, all the time, to tons of players of all ages.

My personal take is that it's a bit of a 'blip'. Visually he looks a lot worse, but his metrics aren't all that different than last year. He's still a strong defensive player, but the offense just hasn't been there.

I'm a big time believer in the thought that unless you're a legit top line/elite level player you're only as good as the people you play with. Last year he played mostly with TK and Couts. And, he only had 4 points through 20 games to start the season. He looked better and had chances, but that is a product of playing with TK -- TK is a legit top line player who creates offensive chances for others around him.

This year, he's played a lot with Frost, Tippett and Couts. Frost has been bad for the most part this season, Tippett has only started looking good in the last 3-4 games (playing with TK, who would have thought lol), and Couts same thing.
Foerster isn't fast, but seemed to have more burst last year.
His game is similar to Cates, except he's stronger with a better shot.

Top speed - league ave (this will increase with full sample)
2024-25: 21.24 - 21.81
2023-24: 21.77 - 22.10
Bursts - league average
2024-25: 10-19
2023-24: 64-73

1970’s is an exaggeration, they’re were real enforcers in the 1990’s, they only started slow dancing instead of fighting and cheap shotting instead of hitting about the mid to late nineties

True. Shame that other teams copied, improved, exhausted and moved on from that philosophy while we are still watching the Flyers never ending search for a player to break another Russian players leg.
