Price played well, but I don't think a 35 year old Weber and essentially a pointless Danault are the difference between a cup final and being absolutely abysmal. Price has not played well in the regular season for years, so its not like he was a factor in making the playoffs.

Trash North division and a couple of flukey series.
Danault does much more than just points. Price was fantastic last season as much as I think he’s overrated. Weber was still a top pair defenseman last season

Interesting comment re: Gallant/Kakko, there. Kakko apparently is happy that Gallant is not just pulling him off a line after any little mistake.

Big difference between him and Quinn, IMO.

Kakko hasn’t been a liability during his scoring drought, and was playing well. So it made sense Gallant didn’t demote him.

Shots on goal. This is the offense I want to see . Love it
This is what I expected from GG. Yea MTL and NJ arent great teams, but we had a tough schedule and contrary to what everyone wants it does take time for a new coach to get guys to play his game. Hopefully, they continue with this.

Oh for sure, Quinn was a mess of a coach, couldn't stand his methods at all, but he is a good guy though.

Mistake vs chemistry. We were all calling for a change because it clearly wasn't working and that wasn't a dig on Kaako. Last year I can count maybe 1 or 2 times where Kaako got benched or demoted because of his play.
