In the past he’s said that he doesn’t understand offense.

inb4 someone's "aXtuAlllY..." reply, where he goes on defending how well Tortorella knows the offensive side of the game (despite the massive piles of evidence to the contrary).

Tortorella is the -Says what he means and means what he says- kind of guy. When he says he doesn't understand the offensive side of the game, according to one loyalist, it actually means he knows it very well and you simply don't understand the mystical nuance in his unspoken words and coaching mechanisms and how awesome he really is at maximizing players offensive potential, results and evidence to the contrary be damned.

MM has as much offense in his game as anyone else on the club. His defense might be lacking in some areas. So what? You don't learn by sitting on the bench. The guy is competitor. When he sees his man score, he'll bear down and go harder. I'd have put him on Kucherov all night long so that he could learn what can and can't be done in the game. Sitting him out was pure Tortorella egotism. It's disgusting. And the PTB want him to develop young players. They're silly

Yes. We should develop MM like TB did Kucherov.

Umm, I think he knows more about scoring than most on here think. He also knows more about winning. Don't think sitting a 19-year-old for one game is the tragedy some on here would have you believe.

It's a shame he played in an era when players his size (especially Americans) rarely had opportunities to play in the NHL.

Unknown. Lack of recall means he must be good to at least back up

Per Baskow, MM "should be back in"

Baskow barely knows which asscheek is the one on the left.

Michkov sits again.
