He’s having a tough game but he’s not a “horrible defenseman” by any means

He's a great athlete but when if you threw 10 challenging situations for a defenseman at him, he'll botch 6 of them. We already saw 2 this period. Couldn't handle an average down the wing rush.

Look no further than Miller-Trouba if you want to know a good reason why this team gives up so many grade A chances. Awful.

Except analytically they’ve been one of the best pairings in the league. The lows are low sure but they’ve been strong this season overall

Trouba is not defending or tying up anyone in front.

He just goes to the front and prays. He is a huge puck watcher instead of swiveling his head to find his man. We had 2 guys in front of the net and back door is naked.

That was an ugly ugly period for Miller. It's impossible to argue against an AHL stint and give someone else a chance when you see him struggle as an individual leading to multiple grade A chance in the defensive zone.

Strome had a guy head down emerge from a scrum with the puck. Just stand there and the guy would have hit him. But Strome just reaches with clown poke check and the guy skates around him. So infuriating.

I'm one who though Quinn had to go, without being fully responsible for what was happening with the team. It's still early days but it really doesn't look like things are improving with GG. We're a black hole offensively, we give up far too many dangerous scoring chances, we appear to have no hustle, and the young forwards don't appear to be developing at all.
