Yeah, talking about the young roster isn't a palatable excuse. Especially not when you have veterans like Panarin, Zibanejad, Kreider, Buchnevich to insulate them.

Plenty of other teams with tons of young forwards playing well. People leaning on this excuse for us "Oh we're the youngest team in the league" only goes so far.

We literally have the youngest team in the league. By a year. So yes, it's still a valid reason.

Quinn needs the team to be prepared for a Devils team that is going to come out guns firing.

Devils probably won’t be able to keep a sustained three period game but the Rangers can/will lose this in the first period if they aren’t prepared.

Fire alarm has been going off for 45 minutes now, FD not here yet. Freezing my ass off outside and I think Loki is going to get frostbite at this rate. What a week.
 
Got the disks back from my MRA/MRV scans today, uploaded them to the sharing site so that doctor from NYC can see and I received a phone call an hour & a half later, and have an appointment with him next Thursday. :) Here in Canada I'm being told to wait for 2 years to see a specialist lol (who aren't anything close to world renowned physicians like him). They didn't even want to order these scans and that doctor from NYC had to contact them urging them to. After my appointment with him we will have officially ruled out any neurological or vascular cause! I also had a temporal bone CT done on Saturday to check for SCDS (thinning or holes in the bone between inner ears & the brain). So if we rule out all those things, that only leaves us with MEM. MEM is spasms of the tiny muscles in the middle ear, which isn't a big deal. There is a surgery where they cut the muscles, you can get botox injections to freeze them, or they sometimes just go away on their own.

Also had my MRI on Saturday so I should know how torn my ACL & numerous parts of my knee are soon :)

Anyone else think Panarin being out a couple of games may be a blessing in disguise? Maybe we'll keep the kids on line 2 and try to recharge Mika with Panarin when he gets back.

I was hoping for that when he was healthy, id honestly put Panarin and blackwell with Zib and see if it doesn't jump start him. Put Kreider with Rooney and Buch.

I mean missing Panarin is always bad, but I really liked that Laf-Strome-Kakko line so it's good they get another game together. It seems Quinn was going back to Panarin - Strome - Kakko had Panarin been available.
 
Damn KAndre being out. Man been carying the $8M Man Jake Trouba on his back this year... Fox might be getting close to 30mins tonight lol

KAndre needs his own version of Ryan Lindgren... what a sweet top 4 that would be.

Praying Smith doesn't come in too motivated and takes dumb penalties or positional mistakes.

If by some chance Lafreniere-Strome-Kakko works out long term, we are gonna have to go back to the drawing board when it comes to discussions about Strome's usefulness as an individual player, rather than just his chemistry with Panarin.

It would be a very good problem to have. Even if Panarin didn't go with Zibanejad, you could certainly see him playing with Chytil instead. Back to three line offensive balance.

But ahh, we scored 0 goals last game so let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Development/rebuilds aren’t straight lines upward. Without a true #2 C, with the cap issues, we had to realise the results so far were a possibility. Love the future, but who knows what to expect tonight. That’s fine as long as our young guys keep improving.
