Martin has done a good job with the defense and PK.

Not sure what Quinn and Oliver are doin with the offense though. I know Mika has struggled and we've had injuries but we shouldn't be one of the worst offensive teams in the league.

At a certain point you have to ask if the team is overcompensating by not being aggressive enough, or if this is an anomaly.

NYR are third-last in the league in shooting percentage. That certainly hasn't helped.

Still don't think either Hajek or Bitteto are mainstays on the 3rd pairing moving forward. Think that's always going to be Johnson and Smith unless Tarmo forces his way in.

It’s embarrassing honestly. Watch highlights every morning and teams score easy goals. Not us. Plenty of kids in every lineup scoring no problem. We’ve got two of the top 3 kids in the last two drafts and we’ve got 3 goals between them.

Unfortunately, having the worst pp in hockey doesn't help. Just imagine a decent pp last week. Its done nothing but demoralize and even give the opposition better opportunities.

Would've liked to see Tarmo get a look. A game against the Devils with a two week layoff seems like a pretty good game to ease him in.

Teams chase games all of the time, how often do they put up 50 shots on net? We were chasing the Bruins last game for half the game and ended up with 21 shots.

Yeah, talking about the young roster isn't a palatable excuse. Especially not when you have veterans like Panarin, Zibanejad, Kreider, Buchnevich to insulate them.

Plenty of other teams with tons of young forwards playing well. People leaning on this excuse for us "Oh we're the youngest team in the league" only goes so far.
