Really? He hasn’t done anything wrong tonight, but the only reason he is playing ADA is because of an injury. And why would he keep Buchnevich out today as well?

If he was still on a stretch of scratching ADA, each game I'd be a touch more annoyed, for sure; but he gave his reasoning. Whether we agree with it or not, if he's consistent in that reasoning and it starts showing results with his players, then it will be hard to argue against.

As for Buch; if he continues to scratch him for a string of games, that will also annoy me. But the same reasoning applies.

Is spooner hurt? Because he's playing like he's favoring his whole body

Same reason why Kotkaniemi isn't playing 4th line center in montreal. Chytil's skill and development in this league should be optimized with at least someone who has some offensive ability as his linemate. hate to kill Mcleod but he really doesn't have any.
He played the first 8 or 9 games of the year with people not named McLeod.

Howden was a pretty important cog on a another great Canadian and as the games got bigger he performed better from what I remember. Its just great that he's caught on from the get go, not easy to do nor did I expect that. He's been a real bright spot thus far.

Pretty spot on.

He’s a versatile player who has shown an ability to play a number of roles — offensively and defensively.

Both in the WHL and the international stage, he’s a kid who shows up for the important games.

I remember the 2016 WHL playoffs was the first time I really looked at Howden and thought people were probably under-projecting him. They weren’t taking into account how he was growing and putting the pieces together and realizing how quickly he was progressing.

That continued in his D+1 season and beyond. It wasn’t because he was steamrolling people, it was because the kid knew how to play effective hockey. I watched him go head to head against guys like Glass and some of the league’s best and he consistently stood out. Then I watched him go to the WJC in a role where he wasn’t expected to get a lot of points or looks, and there he was — making me take notice.

I know this team still needs more skill and offense, and Howden will not be the guy to lead either of those charges. But he really is the type of player you win with.

Chytil with 7 minutes of ice-time. Just send him down. This is ridiculous. What was it again about Chytil and Lias not playing on the 4th line? Coaches are like politicians
