So Boyle is in and Kreider is out? What the ****.

Boyle is Torts' boy. You knew he wouldn't sit too long. Back to two 4th lines. I guess Torts figures we'll score some goals with out top two lines anyway and this is a good opportunity to see if BB can elevate his game. I'm' going to closely watch how well he shuts Tavares down.

Anyone who doesn't agree with this move needs to get their head checked.

You're replacing Kreider with Boyle. One player who hasn't done anything all season, with a guy who is angry about being benched and will come out with fire and intensity.

One player swap will not change the identity of how this team has played recently. If Kreider was owning, and playing out of his mind, it would be a different story. In that case you'd probably sit Powe, Asham or Halpern in place of Boyle.

This move is fine, Kreider needs to sit and reevaluate why he's playing like a scared kitten.

Gaborik doesn't like the left side. Pyatt prefers the left side. So Torts puts Gaborik on LW and Pyatt on RW. Miller played LW in Plymouth. The Rangers brass prefers Miller in the middle.

Kreider has 3 shots in 7 games, prolly also why he is not going to play this game

I know Kreider has not been all that great, but Brian Boyle should not be a top 9 player on a good team. Show me the Brian Boyle on the Blackhawks and Bruins in their top 9. Torts just can't help himself. He'd be ok if the team were made up of 12 grinders that can block shots.

Anyone who thinks Boyle should be anywhere in the top-9 needs THEIR head checked! He's a fringe 4th liner at best...there goes the winning streak...

Kreider hasn't played all that well consistently. This is motivation for the players. Play well, you keep your spot. Just because the team wins doesn't mean everyone played well.

Brian Boyle is a fringe 4th liner? Maybe time to change the glasses?

My vision is just fine, thank you. Maybe you need a new prescription, though...he has been DREADFUL this year, and playing like a below-average 4th liner since his 'breakout' 2 and a half years ago...

He is best serving this team as the 13th forward...

Funny, Kreider doesn't play well consistently and if Staal and Gabby could finish gimme chances he has 4 points in 4 games since coming up (I said 3, that was a mistake). Brian Boyle plays well and he gets maybe 4 points in 10 games. We just became a lot worse skating team and a lot less talented. Maybe we should make trades for Feds (my boy) and Prust (also my boy) so that we can have Feds-Boyle-Prust as our 3rd line. Clearly that's what the majority of Rangers fans want. **** skill and skating, let's stay in our zone all game and block shots.

Boyle is a fringe 4th liner.

I may have to sit down for a few and rethink my priorities. I don't have an appropriate GIF for this.

I'm not upset with the decision per se since Kreids hasn't been great, but I am getting a little frustrated with te Rangers handling of Kreider.

Either keep him in the AHL or roll with the punches. No need for the hot/cold rattling of his confidence. Though obviously it's on him to work through that.

Lose a lot of speed with these changes. That third line went from in your face and fast to slow and grinding.

Not a fan on paper, hope to eat crow.

Forget what you think of how poorly Kreider has played so far, or how his stats should look better if X and Y happened...but what are your expectations when you see Kreider-Miller-Callahan hit the ice?

What are your expectations when you see Miller-Boyle-Pyatt hit the ice?

Now imagine you're a fan of the opposing team and those lines step on the ice. One reaction is likely "okay, these guys are going to come hard, we gotta be on our toes here" while the other is "let me put my feet up and top off another beer".

Horrible move.

He's a good 4th liner, but frankly with the way the 4th line has played and skated I don't think he should be even a 4th liner on this team. I wouldn't lose sleep if he was, but anything above that is a crime against hockey.

Little buzz from NYI fans about tonight's NYR game. You know what often happens when it's like this? The Isles go to MSG and win.

This "often" happens? Did I completely dream up the other night when they said the Islanders haven't won at MSG in what, eight games?

I legitimately have no idea if I just made that up.

Once again, all for Boyle being cemented at no higher than the 4th line. Its the remarks that he is some fringe hockey player destined to live in the AHL that confuses me.
