Maybe Mechwarrior 5 Clans is a better use of my free time at this stage.
Even in a thread full of ranch water and... whatever that post about Aly was, I can't tell if a joke about Ducks games looking like the Clan Ghost Bear invasion of Sheliak would be too weird here.
But when will I ever have the opportunity again?

The most frustrating part of this season has been having to adjust low expectations to even lower. The Ducks ran back essentially the same team with all improvement coming from coaching and young players growing. I don't think most expected the playoffs.

The expectation for the season was player growth, culture and identity growth, and competitive hockey. Those are very reasonable expectations given the circumstances. Having to adjust that even lower is frustrating. As a season ticket holder who pays money for this thing, I expect changes. This is going the wrong way.

I don't think ownership is cheap, what are we supposed to be spending money on exactly that would help this situation? It's not like some unicorn premier coach is out there waiting in the wings. Even if we fire Cronin, it would be an interim coach most likely and then we'd have to find someone in the offseason that actually wants to guide us out of this disaster.

Samueli is one of the richest owners in not just the NHL but all of professional sports. He was 12th in Forbes richest sports franchise owners in 2023, and with the Broadcom acquisition he's probably in the top 10 now with a valuation approaching $20B.

Sounds like I didn't miss much at all. I've only been able to watch like 2 of the last 5 or 6 games and it seems like that's been a blessing in disguise.

Broadcom acquisition? He founded the company lol. He’s a large shareholder and the stock has quintupled in like 5 years.

I don’t disagree with your point though. He’s insanely rich right now. Richer than ever before. Money shouldn’t be an obstacle but it probably is

I’ve been posting In the Management Thread about his wealth expansion the last couple years. Fans really need to understand that we aren’t owned by some marginally wealthy owner. This guy is top 50-ish net worth in the whole world

This team is no better than last year, no improvement at all except for maybe less penalties.
Season ticket holders should be outraged

I said it before, I had super low expectations and they are making me lower them. That's tough when I'm paying year after year and seeing no growth. They are also not doing any communication to assure people like me, season ticket holders, that things will get better. I want to hear from Verbeek but he has been silent both in actions and words. The local reporters should be demanding for a response from PV but there's nothing. Just terrible play day after day, terrible explanations from Cronin after the games, and terrible quotes that keep coming out from the players. No public response is unacceptable.

Vaakanainen is a better hockey player than LaCombe and he’s not even that much older. It’s puzzling that Cronin has been so insistent on stalling LaCombe to Gudas despite Vaak/Gudas being our best defensive pairing last season
Lacombe is on his final legs here in Anaheim. Once Luneau dominates in San Diego, lacombe has no place on this team. Agree that vaaks is much more sound than lacombe and it isn’t even close
