That Zegras quote was interesting. They were very clear that Zegras wanted to be a center. He said he sees the ice better, can make more plays, and is not stuck on the boards. He also said he enjoys face-offs. This also matches the eye test. Zegras has improved since going back to the middle. The Ducks really need to focus on keeping him on the middle.

To add to my hate list

Gudas has been a very disappointing captain.... hes been basically invisible all season.

Did you notice how long it took Killorn to get off the bench after the game? everyone was in the locker and that bum couldnt figure out the directions to get to get off the bench
Maybe his pride as a player finally bruising up

It’s McTavish who should be a wing. Not Z.

You can quote me on this

Zegras will be an above average faceoff guy for majority of his career.

Lundestrom has had a solid year. However, the fact that he's starting on the "top" line with Carlsson is an issue. Mixing and matching every game isn't the solution. It looks like someone gasping at straws.

Ya its pretty clear Cronin lost the room/team.

Only person that has any sort of real energy is zegras, and prob only because hes getting a chance to play center again.
This does remind me when Carlyle got fired the first time. In that time, Getzlaf and the veterans were checked out, not even fighting or slashing players when they were losing.

Zs penalty shot was sad.

I'd say there are 3-4 guys who don't look checked out
I mean its how he does penalty shots... the issue is hes playing with little confidence right now(along with like 8 players on the team)... grippin stick to hard, missing shots wide or high. The team has about 0 confidence in making plays.

As annoying as Getz ryan kesler and perry antics were at the end of the game... i do kinda miss it... like they hated losing so much... didnt matter if it was game 1 of regular season or playoff game. If they were losing at the end of the game they were going out swinging.

That’s a culture, that wasn’t annoying at all, that was appreciated

I remember Kesler first game back in his last season. I believe he asked baggosian to fight ( when he was with the sabres) getzlaf perry and Kesler our best players back then who also knew how to change the energy in a game. This kid solberg we have, he’s going be that way for sure. Just need to keep drafting big mean players who can compliment Leo and these finess players. We have no culture and haven’t since 2018.
