Physicality is still an element that persists in today's NHL so there is still a place on the team for physical players like Dorsett and Gudbranson. More useful against some teams than others but useful nonetheless in a general sense.

That shutout record is dumb. How the team plays in front of you is such a major factor. Lu/Schneids should have had 2-3 more shutouts each minimum each and that was with an in-their-prime team.

It's legit a story. People are taking bets on who will break their streak first: Gaunce's goalless streak or Markstrom's lack of a shutout streak. I had money on Gaunce's goalless streak because it seemed easier for him to break that on a cheap empty net goal, than everything going right for Markstrom.

If Markstrom does get the so tonight the goalless streaks of Gaunce vs Markstrom might make an interesting wager?

That one would likely take years to pay off mind you.

You'll probably see less liberties taken against the Canucks. It might be my imagination but it almost seems like the other teams are easing up on the physical play against them
