Better. Still a little loose overall.... (too many turnovers in the middle of the ice), but the effort was there.

Wish everyone had the same competitive spirit as Marchand. The hit on Werenski made my day. The guy is locked in. Everyone on the Columbus bench was on their feet after that hit. Just so perfect coming on the PK following the hit on McAvoy. Kind of sucks that it always has to be him with the response, but also kind of great that it is.

Lysell did well in his first NHL game. Quickness and skill was apparent.
Agree completely. Marchand did an excellent job of leading by example and it seemed to elevate everyone at just the right time. Lysell’s speed was good and I noticed nice hands - especially on one occasion, stick handling well in the o-zone and making things happen. Good lineup shakeup by Sacco: added Lysell and McLovin to add energy and make vets nervous, inserted Weatherspoon for some reliable d.

The hit on McAvoy wasn’t a bad hit, either.
It was a monster hit, but it was clean. McAvoy was too far from the boards when the hit came.

I like Koepke a lot - smart competitive guy plays physical to me

Could get 15 goals at 10 minutes a game no PP time
Old school hockey. Great speed and a rocket of a shot. Blows it by the goalie while in full flight.

Zadorov jersey is en route.

I just love his mentality. He’s the ultimate team dude and I absolutely question anyone who doesn’t appreciate his game.

There were a few people who said “he’s a terrible hockey player” - I won’t put them on blast, but I kind of want to. You know, the ~%|£| X 76/4

That crew.
He continues to get better. I like his team first attitude.

Yeah but schedule gets pretty hard after tonight. I don't really see any of the other teams in our division catching fire and pulling away with 1 seed and kind of expect all to finish the year pretty close.

TB is looking really good up front.
Geekies reaction to the hit on Mcavoy was pathetic. Other than that, it was a great game.
Kastelic has been awesome and should easily be the seventh player. Great trade by Sweeney.

Yeah but there are slim pickings beside him. Keopke or Korpisalo are the only other guys remotely in the running.

Honestly I think Marchand deserves legitimate consideration given how he has comeback from surgeries. Guy was looking like he was washed up and has brought his game back to where he is best forward on the team by a pretty substantial amount.

I thought we got Wahlstrom to actually give him a chance to be a regular. Instead, McLaughlin is allowed to float around every night? I don’t understand this.

McLaughlin doesn't "float" around, he is a #14\15 F who plays responsibly. He just has limited offensive ability. Its why he is a 4th line guy. Last night was consistently 1F on forecheck taking body.

He won't be staying up much longer so save your hate for someone worthwhile.

#73 needs to realize he can't take the time like he was literally getting ready to drop a duece at center ice and not get walloped.

It was a clean hit though and Geekie would be dead right now - if it was bad the culprit usually is in stunned ‘oh shit mode’ so you can kind of just grab him - with a clean hit the guy knows it’s BS coming after him

I love Olivier - I would trade the first for him right now. I’m serious and I bet Columbus would laugh

TB has the best line in hockey and are the Leafs with above average D and goaltending. They are Florida's biggest threat in division. If B's play R1 against Florida or TB, all things equal they don't stand a chance.

Everyone said that about Fla. vs. the B’s in 2023.

If things always went as planned we’d have had 2 parades since 2019.

Injuries happen, flukes happen and things change over the course of 6 months.

I’m just enjoying the ride.

Who are you replacing him with, either internally or via a trade?
Lol terrible take.
Wow I really unearthed something around here.

He made me eat crow last night scoring that goal but up to that point...2 points since Sacco took over and the only goal being a gift empty netter.

He's a mid 4th liner but is weirdly guarded of criticism around here when he's not producing.

Even for being highly touted as a forechecker, which I do give him credit for as more of a disrupter, he has one of the lowest takeways amongst regulars. He's not some sort of elite puck thief some people claim him to be.

All the bottom six...Frederic, Beecher, Brazeau, McLaughlin, and even Wahlstrom recently have all had their fair share of criticism. Why is Cole Koepke out of all people excluded from this?

panthers, columbus, leafs, rangers, devils, ottawa and penguins all lost tonight,
so the Bruins are just two behind the leafs and cats in the Atlantic

The Bruins can be so close despite the horrible and soft hockey more often than not.

The parity in the NHL artificial or not is working.

That would be something if the Bruins did end up the 1 seed.

Anybody that qualifies for the playoffs can win the cup that is an absolute certainty look how close everybody is the bruins are two points out of first place but also very close to not making the playoffs at all

The two additions to the line up last night, compete and second effort were noticeable most every shift. Why didn't they dress Friday? Lysell was fine. Good attitude and did not appear to be selfish, I saw him share the water bottle on the bench couple a times. Koepke skates like Dave Forbes used to, speed and
effort on every shift. Shows a little skill from time to time. Not as heavy as Dan Paille was but if you liked Pie-Eyy how could you not like Cole? And he was free. Lohrei +4 , Sway with a 0. Call 'em out when they are bad, praise ' em when they good.

I said all things being equal. So injuries and flukes (lop sided trade) aren't all things being equal.

Right now comparing rosters, Boston isn't beating Florida, the whole world knows that.

Florida won The Presidents Trophy in '21-22 but ended up dealing with Bennett and Barkov missing 18 and 15 games each in '22-23. If they miss 10 games each Bruins face NYI. I told someone in February of '23, I wanted no part of them come PO.

All of a sudden, games played aside, the B's are two points behind Toronto and Florida, who both lost in regulation. Last night wasn't perfect, too many giveaways in the second, but it was a spirited home win against the same team that sent Monty packing. Too bad Pasta hit the pipe on his second breakaway, the aerial pass was spectacular.
