I thought Zadorov did well in that fight

Olivier hit was clean but still it’s freaking 3 days after Christmas and 4-0. Dude chill- I’m McAvoy I let him go bald

Kastelic did very well in the fight and has been a great addition

Nice call by myself when everyone was in tears over the Ullmark return last June to point out that Kastelic was a tough sob and would be a great Bruins

Thank you Donny as well
Hopefully that dean leternaeu kid pans out too could be the deal of the decade.

He's a rookie, the others are not and still making the same mistakes! He's learning on the fly and is still one of our top D!
My issue with Lohrei isn’t that he makes mistakes. All young players do, and I can accept that. What’s frustrating about him is that a lot of his mistakes are really basic stuff around positioning and puck management.

He’s a + skater and puck handler and I think he tries too hard to showcase those skills instead of just making the simple and safe play. He’s like the complete opposite of Wotherspoon, who isn’t gonna scare you with his skating or passing, but plays a very simple, unspectacular game.

With a save percentage of like 880 or something like that.

Not exactly what i would call hot. In fact those type of numbers say they're kinda winning in spite of him.

.885 but it's drastically skewed by the WPG game where no one showed up and WPG put up 8 on the Bruins. You take that game out and he's at a .908 SV% during that stretch. Is it lights out? No, but he's doing what he needs to give the team a chance to win.

Team playing okay. Time to add a scoring forward via trade. Don’t wait for the TDL Harvard
I can see this team coming out tomorrow and beating the Jackets by 4. There’s a whole lot of parity in this league. A cup contender today? No, but the right add and their right there with anyone in the east. I think even as of right now theres 3 teams in the east who beats them in a seven game series in Carolina, Florida and Tampa. Everyone else, the Bruins are right there. Sweeney makes the right add, I’d like their chances with anyone.
Gotta give myself some personal acknowledgement;). Called it after last nights lost. This team is right there and if Donny can bring in that right missing piece, the cup is in reach.

We made a lot of the same mistakes as last night, including turnovers in front of our net and a crappy line change. Swayman made the saves he needed to make. Could’ve been a rough night otherwise. That said, it was a fun game to watch. Nice two points.

Terrific post describing both Lohrei and Wotherspoon.

He's decent but he doesn't bring many intangibles that you want out of a 4th liner whether it be hitting, penalty kill, face-off ability, etc.

Koepke brings speed and thats about it so he's going to take some flack when he's not scoring versus someone like Beecher who can still play 2 minutes of penalty killing, crush the face-off dot and still get just as much in the forecheck

There's more to speed than just scoring and offense. His pace means he's quick on pucks and he's quick to get to and create puck battles and shut down plays along the boards. That gives the opposition less time and space to generate offense of their own. I think Koepke is quite good in that regard but it's near impossible to measure in any tangible way.

You imply he doesn't hit but he's credited with 72, which is 3rd most amongst the Bruins forwards this season. Perhaps he doesn't hit that hard, but the effort and intent are there at least. I would agree that it would be nice to see him do a bit more work on the PK. But perhaps that will come in time.

All in all, I see a handy 4th-liner. Not irreplaceable by any means, but solid and offering a little more than just any dime-a-dozen guy. And his speed, on a team that is overall slow, is important IMO, and makes him more valuable here than he might be elsewhere.

Better. Still a little loose overall.... (too many turnovers in the middle of the ice), but the effort was there.

Wish everyone had the same competitive spirit as Marchand. The hit on Werenski made my day. The guy is locked in. Everyone on the Columbus bench was on their feet after that hit. Just so perfect coming on the PK following the hit on McAvoy. Kind of sucks that it always has to be him with the response, but also kind of great that it is.

Lysell did well in his first NHL game. Quickness and skill was apparent.
