Rangers have been an annoying opponent for us in recent years. We won the last game against them in March but before that we hadn't won a regulation game against them since 2019 (playoffs excluded). This is the worst the Rangers have been since before the pandemic, they're in an absolute tailspin. Really need to add to their problems tonight.

I have no idea if this is statistically borne out but I wonder if the home team might be at a disadvantage coming out of the Xmas break? You are still in holiday veg mode, eating too much and getting a little comfortable sitting on the couch at home watching football while the visitors are back in their travel routine.

Obviously today's drubbing of the Cats by the Habs has spurred this thought in my head. Hopefully the Bolts will come out a bit more focused.

In reality, Victor had already passed Stammer in games played by the end of last season, when you include playoffs.

Stammer played in 1210 games with the Lightning. Hedman's played in 1247 coming into tonight.
