The bottom line is: From the moment he was signed, Jones' salary was way out of whack with his value and he is not a legit #1 dman. If Hawks weren't stuck with him and if he had a reasonable contract and wasn't asked to be something he isn't, we wouldn't hear ad nauseam about every mistake or misplay, no matter how small, he makes during games. None of Hawks dmen are perfect and they all make mistakes at times, often ignored if it's not Seth or Brodie who makes the faux pas.

What I don't get is that they were playing pretty well without him so why does he play over 26 minutes in his first game back? I get that you're paying him what you're paying him but so what. Why not ease him back in when the others are playing pretty well?

I'd like to see him at around 20 minutes a night and it looked to me that the power play was better with Vlasic at the point than Jones. For now, I like the idea of him playing with Allan and give both of them 2nd pairing minutes and assignments.

I see the Seth Jones disgust, but I am a little more annoyed with some other "Veteran" Hawks. Hat's off to Ryan Donato for beating down that scumbag Pospisil. That dirtbag went after 3 of our guys last night and the refs didn't do crap. Bedard, Nazar and Bert (helmet ripped off) both (Bedard and Nazar) got hit up high If you don't remember the bedard or Nazar hits, here they are:

My problem is our our leadership is allowing the kids to take these BS hits. Imagine how uninteresting this team would be if Bedard, Nazar and Bert were all out with injuries for the next few weeks. If these kids are the future of the blackhawks they should be protected. Both Foligno and Murphy were out there when Donato (yes Ryan Donato) went to Nazar's aid. It was 3-1 at that point of the game.

So, you can complain about SJ for having a lapse of defence that gives up a goal, but I am pissed that Pospiss dude only got a harsh talking to by Foligno.

Agreed. Seth missed 16 games with injury and when he did finally return the Hawks had a new head coach and were playing a different system. Perhaps Sorenson isn't quite as good a coach as some folks are touting him as. After all, the RFD record and team performance with him at the helm was quite underwhelming.
