Well apparently it is according to some on these boards alklLR's fault for any failing player....Never the pkayer's own fault if course...

The rumors on the net about potential trade deals mentionthat EDM might be interestedinaddibgvHall(forctheirc3rd line) and I guess they think ona better team with more talent plus their better xoaching, they can extract production from Hall forca stronger Cup contender...The idea is Hawks woukdcretain half in a trade deadline deal and that leaves the rest of thexseasonafter TDL us next seasononHalk's contract only costing EDM half f of his deal on cap for tjise periods.

Now what can the Hawks get in return in picks?

.a first(which will be late 20s to #32 ).?..maybe IF it is conditional they get to SC Final...or if the condition is they win the Cup...otherwise a 2nd and a 3rd/ 2bd and a 5th? TWO 3rds?
..A bag of pucks and a 7th?

.

The NHL keeps stats on blocked shots ...ie. when your team and individual players block opposition shots and when your team and individual players have their shot attempts blocked..
BuT I have never seen any stats kept for teams or individual players having their shot attemots hitting their own players...

If the NHL kept such stats ,I would think Hawks team might breading g the league in this category=a big reason for failed shot attempts...Hawks must have had 5 of these ladt night vs Leafs..Bedard was 50% in this category alone...Of 2 shot attemots 1 hit his own team-mate..He had Zero shots pon goal so he wss 50% on missed shots too! 1 missed shot on2 attemots.

Unless the NHL counts shot attempts hitting own players as also as "missed shost" , then it should be possible to separate s shot attempts resukts into categories:

SA' that get blocked by the opps..(SBO')
SA's that miss the net (including hit posts and cross-bars) =missed shots (MS)
SA's on target=shots on goal(SHOG')
SA's that hit own players.=SAHO

So SAHO 's = SA's-(SBO's+MS+SHOG)...

But I am to lazy to do the calculation of this for the Hawks and in comparison to all the other teans in the NHL..

My hunch us Hawks would be at the top of the NHL in this SAHO stat.

Such a stat defines Hawjs putrid offense = a tean that cannot get out of its own wY!

From Ben Pope this morning"

"It didn’t work offensively tonight, but they had some good shifts in the ‘O’ zone,’’ Richardson said. ‘‘Taylor [Hall] gives them a little speed and [is] strong on the puck, ‘Bert’ is usually around that net and Connor is a playmaker, so it’s the makeup of a good line. It just didn’t connect tonight.’’

Hall strong on the puck? He turned puck over twice on one shift!

And lost count how many times Hawks can't get puck out or turn over at their blue line.
He doesn't even understand what he's watching with the very team he's coaching... Holy shit.
