I think the funky shifts are because of all the penalties and whatnot leading up to the 4v4, and players were being shifted all over the place for PK/4v4 back-to-back-to-back, so Quinn decided, based on score, to not reset back to normal lines which would cause overshifting some players.



Makes sense to me, at least.
